I just received this e-mail a little while ago from the FIRE Coalition and thought I would post it here for anyone who is interested.

My Senators are Cantwell and Murray. To them, I am less than a lowly serf.

We ask that you begin with your two U.S. Senators. My senators are Feinswine and Boxer.
It's the president pushing for amnesty that worries me most.

Burr and Dole. I’ve contacted them about a number of issues, the war and illegal immigration being at the top of my list.

Here's a "FLASH" to FIRE Coalition. When you want people to call their senators to oppose a bill, you need to specify the bill's official number and who the sponsors of the bill are. If we call our senators and tell them to oppose the immigration bill and don't have this information, we sound ignorant, and our senators will generally ignore the call. I've spent the last twenty minutes, time that I really don't have, looking for this information on Thomas.loc.gov. I can't figure out which bill they are talking about. Any worthwhile advocacy organization must learn to include this information whenever they put out an action alert of any kind.
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks for posting this information! I’ve already sent it to my e-mail list and I’ll post it in some more news forums too. It’s do or die time! IF we don’t stop them now, the Republic is lost.

I'm out of the information loop on this law they want to pass. What is the basic premise of it, and if it does pass both houses, is Bush expected to sign it? I know Bush has a liberal view when it comes to immigration, so I take it - if he will sign it - its probably a worker program/amnesty bill? Have we made any headroad in making this bill a bit tougher?

Checking in from TN...
Sen Lamar Alexander’s office in Chattanooga (423)752-5337 informed me that he voted against S-2611 last year and that he is for a secure border and no amnesty...
He will vote against a Bill for amnesty again this time...
Sen Alexander’s DC Phone (202)224-4944
Sen Bob Corker’s office in Chattanooga (423)756-2757, had no ready answer and that concerns me no end...Beverly told me she would check and call me back..
