Oh, so GOD is the cause of immorality, huh?
Which standard are you using for immorality, His or yours?
My youngest son likes to ask, “Whats the downside to believing in God?”
“Whats the downside to believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins?”
Atheism is a blank check to do what you want.

I sincerely doubt that's what qam1 is saying. I can see how you arrive at what you did. Because if the numbers were reversed many God believers would be claiming the numbers meant atheism was the cause of immorality.
I agree. It seems 99% of atheists are loony libs.
God specifically addressed atheists in scripture 3,000 years ago i.e. they were fools.
Francis Bacon, who is generally considered the father of science, specifically addressed atheists 500 year ago i.e. they were fools.
You just proved the article's premise.
And when released, they never, ever break the law again
My kids listen to Christian rap and heavy metal and other varieties of ghastly noise. As long as there’s nothing ugly in the lyrics, I figure it’s a battle for their Dad to fight. (I limit my input to “Turn that ruckus off!” if it’s loud enough for me to hear :-).
I’m not sure about Doug Giles - whether he’s making a real contribution, or is just a goof - but his way of putting things is so entertaining!
If you believe and He doesn’t exist, then you are no worse off;but if you don’t believe and He does exist, hope He gives you another chance to change your mind.

Two really big flaws in your "stats" right of the bat -- How many non-chrisrian couples never get married and just cohabitate without getting married in the first place?
This would knock your divorce rate down a little.
I don't see how, we are talking about "Rate" not number
Out of wedlock births? Compare the abortions per pregnancy in the "Bible Belt" to Cali or the East Coast and I think you would find a discrepancy there that would explain your datum.
Here's the Abortion rate by state and here's the relgiousness by state
The least religious area in the country isn't California or the East Coast but the Mountain West and there you will find the Abortion rate equal to or better than anything in the Bible Belt.
Not saying that at all. Just pointing out Christians aren't morally superior and everyone else is morally decadent as some Christians like this author suggest.
Which standard are you using for immorality, His or yours?
The same standard you are using that tells you abortion, pedophilia, genocide, rape and slavery are wrong even though not only are these things not condemned in the Bible but often they are greatly encouraged.
The least religious area in the country isn't California or the East Coast but the Mountain West and there you will find the Abortion rate equal to or better than anything in the Bible Belt.
And your point is?
None is encouraged, as you assert. Of that list, only slavery is tolerated in Scripture.
Next I suspect you will point to various battles as genocide, but there is a big difference between warfare and genocide.
Hey, thanks for telling me about Dr. Geisler. Sad to say, I haven’t heard of him before. I went to his website and checked him out. Very impressive. I particularly liked that he and Hank Hanegraaff are friends. My youngest son is a fan of Hank’s and has all of his books, including the most recent one, “The Apocalypse Code”. My son has been sharing with me about Hank’s view on partial preterism. I’ve been very interested in this subject and I noticed that Dr. Geisler and Hank don’t agree on this. Dr. Geisler addresses this on his website here in case you are interested http://www.ses.edu/NormGeisler/lastdisciple.htm.
Thanks again for telling me about Dr. Geisler. I’m looking forward to reading more of what he has to say on his website.
The point is that an Atheist isn’t anymore likely to have an abortion than a Christian is.
Let’s not forget, there were no Atheist on the Supreme Court when they passed Roe v Wade, all 9 on the court were Christians. Not to mention even if they wanted to, there’s not enough Atheist in congress and the state legislators to stop all the Christians in power from passing a Constitutional Amendment banning all abortions, so it’s actually Christians who are keeping abortions legal in the country.
I considered atheism but they don’t have enough holidays.
You’ve got so many straw dogs in your post that you should go into the hay business.
