Unbelievable...
Only brainwashed minds of this cult-like ideology could come up with garbage like this.

He expressed the view that religion must bring people together, and not drive them apart, and that the brotherhood of humanity takes precedence over brotherhood of religion or of state.

According to Aafaq, Hijji answered Chris, saying that there is no problem with praying that non-Muslims be kept safe and not be killed, if there is hope that they might be guided [to the right path]; but one cannot pray for the non-Muslim dead, since there is no chance of their being guided. He said that the Prophet Muhammad had told the Muslim soldiers at the battle of Badr to not kill some of the nonbelievers, even though they were on the battlefield, as they had treated Muhammad well when he was in Mecca. Just remember folks, this is the moderate position. Ultimately, this is the best that the ROP will offer to Kaffirs.

the relative importance of brotherhood in humanity or religion needs to be evaluated according to Allah's laws, and not according to human reason. This is a huge part of the problem we face with Islam. It forbids the use of one's own powers to reason, to observe the world and make decisions about it based on reason. It's why they don't want people to be able to read widely or come into contact with other religions.

no problem with praying that non-Muslims be kept safe and not be killed, if there is hope that they might be guided [to the right path] I know many Christians who will in no-wise pray for the dead, believer or non, on the basis of 2Cor5:10, "we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body" (my emphasis) means since once an earthly life has ended, there is nothing further to be done, vis-a-vis salvation.
I think that is to believe an error. The Old and New Testaments are rife with references to "deeds done" in the context of judgment and recompense. None of that is to deny Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Inasmuch as it's Biblical that believers should "ask anything in My name and it will be given you" (John 16:23b), and that "every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven." (Mt. 12:31) plus that--though we don't know much about the specifics--Christians were praying and baptizing for the dead in 1Cor15:29.
I believe the correct understanding derives directly from the combination of John 16:23b and Mt 12:31. The salient point is not whether or not any and all have done deeds in this life that would condemn us to death, but rather, whether those sins will be covered by the blood of Christ Jesus, as "there is salvation in no one else." (Acts 4:12)
