Authorities' description of six men charged with plotting an attack on Fort Dix as "Islamic militants" is renewing worry among New Jersey's Muslims. Authorities rounded up and detained hundreds of Muslim men from New Jersey in the months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, but none was connected to that plot. Now Muslims fear a resurgence of anti-Islamic sentiment and bias.
"If these people did something, then they deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law," said Sohail Mohammed, a lawyer who represented scores of detainees after the 2001 attacks. "But when the government says 'Islamic militants,' it sends a message to the public that Islam and militancy are synonymous. Don't equate actions with religion."

To avoid “backlashes” they need to go back to where they came from.
In my world, Islam and militancy are synonymous.
Yup. CAIR has already put out a “media advisory” telling the media not to refer to this as what it is - associated with Islam.
Last paragraph:
Yaser El-Menshawy, chairman of the Majlis Ash-Shura of New Jersey, the state’s council of mosques, condemned the alleged plot and said he was glad nothing was carried out. But he said the motivation of people who plotted against the government “cannot be stopped simply by law enforcement or military means alone.”
Now THAT sounds like a threat!
From what I’ve seen, their biggest threat comes from within their own community - Islamic on Islamic violence.
“..muslims - bringing sharia to America one terrorist act at a time.”
They will be successful doing so if we have to depend on government. On second thought; could this be exactly what government has in mind?
“He doesn’t have a gun, he doesn’t have anything,” Fatem Shnewer said of Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer. He was targeted, she said, “because he’s religious.”

Now it begins!
Americans, meanwhile, are worried about frontlash.
So, Muslims who claim to also be Americans, come forward and tell us who these outlaw factions are. You live next to them every day, you hear them speaking sometimes not so furtively in their native tongue, and you know well that they have mischief in mind. When these people are turned in by their own neighbors and acquaintances, for the greater good of all the community, not just the Muslims, you gain the respect and acceptance you seem to so desperately crave from your non-Muslim neighbors.
Or you may whine because you ae so abused. But remember, you stand to suffer far greater abuse from these thugs in your midst, than you shall ever be subject to from your non-Muslim neighbors.
They swim among you like fish in the sea. Help us identify and remove the predators among your number, and we shall ALL be much more secure. To do otherwise is solidarity without strength.
It’s a formula with the US media:
1. Egregious violence is perpetrated and occurs/is foiled by Muslim factions
2. Two to three days pass.
3. Press comes out with the image rehab piece on how ‘The Peaceful Muslims’ are quaking over their goat testicles and falafel in their quiet, peaceful homes.
My response:
To me, all Muslims are responsible. There are no innocent Muslims. Not yet.
Until the day the peaceful ones start ‘taking their religion back’ from the ‘radical’ minority that seems to cause the overwhelming majority of the war, violence, and chaos in the world, they can continue worrying about a backlash. In fact, they are probably laughing their burkhas off at how the fat, stupid Americans will take almost anything they can dish out without getting upset.
Until then, they should continue to worry, and I don’t want to read any more stories about how worried they are, because its aiding and abetting the enemy.
It’s time to start throwing them out of our country, or it is time for them to start throwing radicals out of their mosques. To me, its that simple.
“Don’t equate actions with religion.”
You say the Koran orders you to kill or convert infidels, to form no friendship with a Christian or Jew, and to beat, rape, and kill your wives and daughters in the name of honoring Allah. Then you cry because civilized people view your “religion” negatively. If the shoe fits...
Popcorn warmed up, sofa nice and comfy and television turned to FOX .... let the fire bombings, snipings, looting, arson, indiscriminate bombings beging.........
Oh wait!.... the muslims are already doing that.
Nevermind.
just your peace loving muslim-murdering degenerate cowards worshiping their pedophile allah by killing and murdering
Tough. The backlash is because of:
Bombing trains. Bombing buses. Bombing planes. Flying planes into buildings.
Slicing heads off while singing religious hymns.
Dragging bodies through streets.
Using “charities” to pass money to terrorists. The Sears Tower Plot. Slavery in Sudan,
Killing converts to Christianity. Cutting your head off if you don’t convert.
Torturing and killing kids in a school. Nicholas Berg. Daniel Pearl. Margaret Hassan. Paul Johnson.
Calling for the death of the Pope. Rioting over cartoons.
