Axis of Soros May 9, 2007; Page A16
Mark Malloch Brown spoke Monday to a crowded auditorium at the World Bank's headquarters, warning that the bank's mission was "hugely at risk" as long as Paul Wolfowitz remained its president. Only hours earlier, news leaked that a special committee investigating Mr. Wolfowitz had accused him of violating conflict-of-interest rules. A coincidence? We doubt it.
Mr. Malloch Brown, remember, was until last year Kofi Annan's deputy at the United Nations. In that position, he distinguished himself by spinning away the $100 billion Oil for Food scandal as little more than a blip in the U.N.'s good work, and one that had little to do with Mr. Annan himself. Last week, Mr. Malloch Brown was named vice president of the Quantum Fund, the hedge fund run by his billionaire friend George Soros. A former World Bank official himself and ally of soon-to-be British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Mr. Malloch Brown would almost surely be a leading candidate to replace Mr. Wolfowitz should he step down. Not surprisingly, Gordon Brown cold-shouldered Mr. Wolfowitz at a recent meeting in Brussels.

Seeing this without notice is particularly irksome. Is the complete article available elswhere?
Good to see some of the media is starting to expose Soros. The wicked don’t do well when the light is shined on their evil deeds.
That’s true, now most people have at least heard of him before.
Soros tries to influence elections all over the world, usually fails miserably.
Soros needs to go for a ride in a defective aircraft
As if Wolfowitz was an innocent baby ...
Oh boy, I really hope they do - then we can do the same (withhold funding from the next financing round) and bring corruption in World bank a little bit down to size, one round at a time. Few more of these "threats" and WB will cease to exist, and then we can try the same with IMF and selective agencies of UN. Finally, we could thank the Europeans for showing us the way to a slightly better, less corrupt world. Then we'll see if people like Soros would like to spend their own money the way they liked WB or IMF or UN money being spent.
Let's take them up on all their "threat" bluffs! It's about time to see how good they are at this kind of poker - no matter what they do then, they lose!
Why not a ride with Teddy?
The headline should be....George Soros wants to control the World Bank. Maybe then someone would notice what is really going on here.
The UN, WB, and IMF have all become funding sources for the left. They left seem to always find a way to use our freedoms to get us to finance our destruction.
The man is a serious threat to our way of life, and while his shenanigans aren’t strictly illegal, they’re still a problem for America.

Do you have a point? Do you have info regarding anything illegal, immoral, or unethical about Wolfowitz?
If you read the factual info about the World Bank and it's cronyism, the arrangement Wolfowitz made before he took the helm concerning his girlfriend, and the anti-Americans out to frame him, along with media collusion, you might be able to process some simple truths.
This is a power grab by Soros and pals
Expect Wolfowitz to be treated just like Rumsfeld
PAPER: Axis of Soros; The men and motives behind the World Bank coup attempt...
I remember hue and cry when Gingrich set out to “defund” the left, and was somewhat effective in doing it. Tom DeLay later tried a much cruder version of that with lobbying firms (”K-Street”) which, I believe, was a precursor to some Republicans corruption, particularly, but not limited to, relating to Abramoff.
Of course, the left has been funding themselves through all kinds of public “programs” (education, insurances, industries tort lawsuits - like tobacco, bonds - like “embryonic stem-cell research” etc.) and have been defunding conservative programs (military, vouchers, faith-related etc.)
That’s because the left “cares” about the “poor” and “uneducated” and it’s easy to sell their pablum to them, especially using politics of envy.
bump & a get the U.S. out of the U.N. ping!
