...if legislation were passed to ban handguns, guns would not disappear....they would end up in the hands of criminals instead of law-abiding citizens using firearms for self-defense and property protection...."police cannot police society."...
We've been saying this for DECADES........Looks like some of it is finally sinking in..........

After that, Adams said he came to the realization that "police cannot police society." He bought his first gun and acquired a concealed-carry permit. Owning a firearm gave him a peace of mind "not that the government will take care of me, but that I will take care of myself," he said. Since then, Adams added, owning a gun has influenced his "entire worldview." Ignorance has a cure - many just resist it.

Love Mike Adams’s columns on Townhall.com. Not just about guns but lots of other issues.

our country does a better job than other nations when it comes to reporting crime. Because of this, Adams said our national statistics cannot be used in cross-cultural comparisons. Interesting point. I have to add that to my ammo chest. Anyone have any articles or background cites on this crime tracking issue -- U.S. vs. other Western nations?

When it comes to IMMEDIATE personal protection, we’re all really on our own and a government that would deny us our God-given right to LIFE needs to be “altered or abolished.”

"police cannot police society." I disagree with that. Police can police society, but they cannot keep you individually safe.
Police can protect society, but only you can protect yourself and the people immediately around you.

This professor is probably snubbed by every other prof on the NC faculty. Academe almost universally hate guns and the 2nd Amendment. He’ll be lucky to get a job teaching at a kindergarten if he ever leaves his present tenured position for any reason.
