Please let me know if you want added to my ping list. It started off as a pet food recall list, then human food contamination and now has evolved to anything involving free trade with China.

I read the ingredients on a soda I bought out of a machine. Can't remember the name of it, but it had ethylene glycol in it.
I did a double take, then I remembered what was in anti-freeze.

The state Dept. has been a mess ever since dear ol’ Henry.

Thanks for posting.
I would note than Imas caught the tainted pet food as they do their own QA testing house.
Would taht the folks who make meficine perform the same tests to ensure the purity of product. Now (and as before with some of us) everything from CHina is suspect.
We are label checkers. I just don’t buy stuff from China if we have the choice.

To: ASOC
yes, but the label won’t necessarily tell you if the ingredients were bought from China.

Yup - thats where the “if I have a choice” comes in.
We are looking closely at supliments to see if country of origin are noted. IF not, we will continue to email the mfgs about it.
Guess the garden will be alittle bigger this year.

Thanks for posting this article. It was a long article, but well worth the read. Now we have to wonder just how many other potentially fatal products are coming out of China. With their reluctance to allow our inspectors in it certainly looks like an organized cover up!

Yes, the free traders keep screaming it is market driven, yet the consumers are kept in the dark about these things.
Good luck on your garden!

THe potatoes always do well, I use Alaskan seed potaoes so that helps.
I can never seem to get the little red chiilis to get all the way to picking size before the frost gets em.
Maybe global warming will help this year.
Or my helping the neighbor with his new greenhouse : )

Sun Jing, the pharmaceutical program officer for the World Health Organization in Beijing, said the health agency sent a fax "to remind the Chinese government that China should not be selling poisonous products overseas." Sun said the agency did not receive an official reply. Now isn't that special?
No more worries -- the WHO has everything under control with that really scarey "reminder" to China that they really shouldn't poison the rest of the world, pretty please.

Recently I bought a jug of apple juice and was surprised to find in the small print “product of China”. Apple juice? Don’t we still grow apples?

Over the years, the poison has been loaded into all varieties of medicine cough syrup, fever medication, injectable drugs a result of counterfeiters who profit by substituting the sweet-tasting solvent for a safe, more expensive syrup, usually glycerin, commonly used in drugs, food, toothpaste, and other products. ....The kidneys fail first. Then the central nervous system begins to misfire. Paralysis spreads, making breathing difficult, then often impossible without assistance. In the end, most victims die.
Many of them are children, poisoned at the hands of their unsuspecting parents. Head's up to my dear friends......

I have become a one-issue independent voter.
My issue?
THE FOOD SUPPLY. Any candidate who acknowledges and presents a good plan for cleaning up the mess gets my vote. No more unlabeled foodstuffs from China or frigging Mexico, thank you. Nor Indonesia, Ghana, Borneo, or other unregulated place including previously OK Canada, France, and Germany. Nor Iowa or Oregon or any other state, for that matter where careless filthy conditions prevail.
I object to “Alaskan” salmon from China and every single other deceptive labeling practice.
Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness begins with LIFE....stop the killing of people and pets by unregulated unmonitored profiteers.
Anyone who has a ping list on this topic, please put my name on it. Thanks
