Yes, I did — it is a three-layer cake. If we all have thin slices, there’s still enough to go around for the whole gang!

The first time a friend asked what type of birthday cake I’d like, I was introduced to chocolate cream pie. Can you imagine, I’d gone 24 years in this world and never ever tasted that? My coworker who made it happened to be an excellent cook and chocolate cream pie was one of her specialties. I’ve been addicted to that ever since.

She's a Yank. Since I had never tasted choc cream pie, I was hesitating while trying to figure out a way to ask for one of the other delights she offered to make, when everyone else in the office jumped on me and insisted I would LOVE it. They didn't want to bypass the opportunity due to my *ignorance* of its finer qualities. That was quite a few years ago and I still think about how good it was.
