She's a Yank. Since I had never tasted choc cream pie, I was hesitating while trying to figure out a way to ask for one of the other delights she offered to make, when everyone else in the office jumped on me and insisted I would LOVE it. They didn't want to bypass the opportunity due to my *ignorance* of its finer qualities. That was quite a few years ago and I still think about how good it was.
