Steve Gill just announced on his radio show this morning that he has penned a book on the Tennessee political subject burning up all forms of media, old and new.
That subject is, of course, the political aspirations and plans of Fred Dalton Thompson.
The Fred Factor will no doubt be a pro-Fred book as it is written by a pro-Fred radio talker but it has been thoroughly researched and will include an extensive biography section as well as the obligatory polemics.
I'm excited to read it.
Here’s a question:
What is the absolute last day that he can finally announce his candidacy?
I think his waiting is a brilliant strategy, if that’s what it is. He can do and say pretty much anything without being attacked by the Left or Right, and he gets around some of those really stupid M-F campaign rules.........
Actually, the full title I think is “The Fred Factor: A Southern Fried Reagan” so there aren’t any copyright issues.
Does anyone know if his real name is Fredrick or if its just Fred?
Fredrick Dalton Thompson sounds tuff I think.
It’s ping time!
I hope Fred’s being outside the formal front runners for now isn’t creating a Rorschach where, in the absence of heavy media coverage, he is whatever we need him to be. The whiplash of failing to live up to conflicting viewpoints might set him back.
From what I’ve read of his views, I think he’s closer to what I want than anyone. But since my views are not mainstream conservative, there’s something wrong here. His popularity on the right and with me don’t jibe. It’s a good problem to have, though.
