On “Hardball” last night, John “Okinawa” Murtha bashed Gen. Petraeus, claiming he only came to Washington to “make political statements” and “only talks to the news media.”

Maybe if Murtha showed up at the hearings, he could have heard Petraeus in person.
But, if I remember correctly, Murtha, being sold-out to the Commies and Islamo-fascists, declined to attend Petraeus’ briefings.

Apparently Murtha thinks Petraeus is lying about al-Qaeda and thinks al-Qaeda has little to do with the violence in Iraq.
You are right. Marines have proud traditions. I have been embarrassed by Murtha’s actions. I hate it every time the MSM refers to him as a former Marine. We stick together and it really hurts to have one like him embarrass the Corps.

Why give Murtha the time of day? The libs have popularized the idea that we’re losing this war with statements like those made by Murtha. Pretty soon, they’ll have the public believing that Petraeus is a political hack.

There is nothing more pathetic than his near tears whinning and crying about "bringing the boys home" on the floor of congress. I'd show that as a recruiting film if I was al queada.

Murtha apparently did not clarify that he was talking about himself. The leftists accuse their competitors of things they themselves are, or what they themselves are doing! Political hacks like Murtha use the leftist media to carry out such outrageous claims.

I believe in psychology they call that "transference," where a political hack is trying to project his own moral and professional shortcomings and failings onto someone else.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Murtha has finally made it crystal-clear that he is nothing more than an old fool struggling in vain with senile dementia.

Who could blame Petraeus for not wanting to talk to those who support the enemy?
He comes off like a bufoon that only simpleton Democrats like Pelousi and Reid truly appreciate.
That coming from the fattest head in D.C.
Why? Because Murtha is a member of a "Sacred Cow" organization-- a veteran, a mother or widow of a fallen soldier, a minority, etc. If they say something, the media believes they're beyond criticism (especially if it agrees with their agenda). Murtha and the media are playing on this "sacred cow" reputation just like they did with Cindy Sheehan and the "9/11 widows."
Note, however, that the "sacred cow" does not apply to members currently working for the establishment; in fact, it is the opposite. If they can pit one against the other, the media will jump all over the chance to do it.
