And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, may I direct your attention to the land of Venezuela where a growing economic sinkhole has begun to form, swallowing everything as it expands.

We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with. ... Pat Robertson.

Chavez’s experiment has already been tried 100 times.
It has totally failed in 100 out of 100 of those experiments while the other option, free-market capitalism, has succeeded in 98 out of 100 tries.
It should be obvious to any semi-intelligent person shouldn’t it?

When Fox covered this today, why on Earth did they call it Socialist and not Communist? What are they afraid of?

Where are the Contras when you need them?
This whacko is single-handedly destroying a nation. Mugabe would be proud.

Chavez threatens to nationalize largest steel maker, banks
Go, Hugo, go! Nationalize the nation and then run it into the ground with your ham-fisted communist policies. We'll be around to pick up the pieces, though not of you after you're swatted like a pinata by the proletariat.

In a way like a hurricane that comes through and destroys everything or like a flood...there is a renewal/restoration of faith in capitalism when the scum goes away.

Steel to be sold at a loss - Hugo Chavez is ignorant of economics and the hard work that goes into producing steel. Look for a steel shortage very soon in Venezuela.

It’s communism. Communism hates private property and enterprise. Communism seizes the work of others. Communism creates 2 classes of people: those favored by the government and who have everything, and everyone else who is poor and miserable.
The American left loves communism. They have the same goals as communism!

Wow, this is weird. I Just finished reading “Atlas Shrugged” for the first time last week and now I read about the Chavez mess. Its almost if Chavez is following Ms. Rand’s script. I keep expecting to hear a 3 hour public address on NPR entitled “This is John Galt Speaking”.
I would say that I’ll be interested to see how this ends for Chavez, but like I said, I already read the book.
