No revolution is starting, just a push-back by us law abiding folks.

84-14 vote by the state House. The bill was approved 41-6 by the Senate last month.
How many votes are needed to override a veto in OK?
Wouldn’t it be political suicide for the Governor to veto this bill in OK??

Gee, I like the objectivity of the opening sentence.
All I can say is “good for them.”

Its not going to control immigration. Its going to create a long-term sour view in the Latino community, said Ed Romo, vice president of the League of United Latin American Citizens.
Its targeting the Latinos, the Hispanics, and nobody else, said Ed Madrid, state director of LULAC. *
I would bet that there is no language regarding any specific region in this bill. This is simply the most egregious offenders squealing.

...the state does not have the authority to supersede federal immigration law.
I'm often wrong, so is this correct? Even if it is correct, of the laws on the books now (that haven't been used lately), one is that it's illegal to employee a non-citizen.

It is very refreshing to see the people fighting back to protect this country from a bunch of Washington pols who are refuse to enforce federal immigration law to any significant degree.

one is that it's illegal to employee a non-citizen. It's not illegal to employ a non-citizen; it's illegal to employ an ILLEGAL alien. Unfortunately, that law is seldom enforced.

It is a good thing, but it’s only a start. Before the ink is dry on the law, the ACLU, and the rest of the pro-Hispanic groups will find a leftist judge and get an injunction against the law. The people need to be ready to fork over the bucks to fight for these laws in court, particularly in smaller towns, like Hazleton, who don’t have the bucks to compete against the leftist funded lawyers.
Of course, we can use the courts as well. Some American workers are starting to fight back, filing lawsuits against employers who are systematically using illegals. I know one suit is called Mohawk v. Williams. Mohawk is a carpet manufacturer in Georgia, I think.

Ok, that is what I meant, I stated it wrong. Thanks for putting it correctly.

Can't be any more sour than my view of LULAC and illegals.
