Well, I think the head-to-heads are a bit troubling for Thompson, but somehow I believe that they’re OK given the time until the elections. This is really way too early to do much more than preliminary estimating of chances.

You think that being within 10 points when 65% have no opinion of you is troubling?

The Fred 34% - Obama 47% numbers look really bad. He's polling 14% points behind an ultra liberal first term Senator with the name "Hussien Obama" and zero accomplishments. I'm sure FR's Fred supporters will claim it's because Fred is "unknown", but on the other hand they tell us Fred can wait around forever and will be a great candidate because everyone already knows him thanks to his acting career. They can't have it both ways. Either he's very familar to the general public and can afford to sit on the sidelines for monthes, or he can't. He's been "thinking about" running since March 9.
Meanwhile I'm on the TOMMY Thompson bandwagon, who I think has demonstrated far better that he's 100% committed to this race and has the ablity to win the "swing states" (Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc.) we need.
