You know damned well if Bill Clinton did the same thing, he would have been praised by the very same people who lambasted Bush.
” I personally am not going anywhere near their methods and means to blame the present President Bush to give their twisted accusations credibility.”
Reviewing what was done right, and what could be done better is the key to making future improvements.
Don’t shoot the messenger, in short. As I noted, the next time it happens, the President will react differently.
“You know damned well if Bill Clinton did the same thing, he would have been praised by the very same people who lambasted Bush.”
I don’t think much about Clinton these days. He’s so last century.
And it has nothing to do with the valid observtion, if the President could have a ‘do over’ he would have returned to Washington, not gone to a fundraise in California.
It was politically damaging. Thats what I’m saying here. He gave his detractors a free shot, and they are still able to bring it up to this day.
So?????
FLASH, FLASH, FLASH................
The stupid bastards ELECTED each and every “untrustworthy’ and incompetent New Orleans and State politician in Louisiana — all DEMOCRATS.
CLUE — Sometimes blacks should vote MERIT, not color.
Their life may depend on it....
Black Racism exists, and it KILLS!
But they were right...the government at all levels was inept. They did not look after folk but instead looked after the government. Look at Nagan’s gun grab, the lack of competent plans and local and state bungling.
Anyone who believes the government is out to help is too stupid to vote.
I think it is fair to say the American taxpayers have become very distrustful of the Katrina evacuees.

This is an industry folks.................
They trusted government enough to feed at the public trough for generations though.
My church has been involved for the past year in helping rebuild homes in Biloxi. It was badly damaged also by Katrina. There was very little of the attitude coming out of New Orleans, although poverty is a problem in Biloxi as well.
The authorities in Biloxi have been very good to work with as well, particularly a councilman from the district where we’ve been involved.
“”This report is pure bovine scat. Many of the people that ignored evacuation orders in New Orleans were government dependent, yet want you to believe that their distrust of the government made them stay in place.””
You need a new user name because you are not dumb. Katrina was the perfect illustration of a failed welfare state.
Baloney, they certainly trusted the government enough to expect that the welfare checks and the food stamps would be every month.
Baloney, they certainly trusted the government enough to expect that the welfare checks and the food stamps would be delivered every month.
I remember the one going into the dome empty handed and when a reporter asked her why she had not brought food and bedding as they had been told said, "They take care of us."
I live in La. just north of new orleans, and yes it was horrible here also. Everyone I know has heard many people patting them selves on their backs for “getting” everything they could. Lots of times repeatedly. Lots still are. After this period of time most should be resituated. It’s sickening. I can pass by areas and watch people in their fema paid for apartments, bbq’ing having a good old family time. Yet, I know a young mother of two that has cancer. She lost her meager home is working nights while on pain medication. Struggling to pay for an apartment because there are no low-income ones available. (still filled up with Katrina’s refugees.) And they complain about the government. Yes, this pisses me off to no extent. I got an emergency food stamp allocation. And I actually bought food with it. It’s still the old ways here in Louisiana. If people would quit griping and do whats right more would be helped. No, I’m not applying this to the many seniors in and around New Orleans whose lives have been destroyed. I’m a low-income single mother of two, if they hired me to help cut down on the fraud I could do wonders. Now isnt that sad? I’m ashamed of how Louisiana is and the fact that its publicly known. It’s like living in a state of perpetual catch 22’ism.
