Surprise, surprise!

NEW YORK, May 3, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Amnesty International US has adopted a new policy supporting a "right" to abortion, a move which the organization is attempting to keep secret from the public, according to reports this week carried by First Things and Consistent Life.

Ryan T. Anderson, writing for First Things, reported on a buried policy statement he unearthed from the members-only, restricted-content page of AI's US website. The policy outlined AI's new position on Sexual and Reproductive Rights that "includes support for abortion."

Mine was the same as always. I never turned it on. I am allergic to politicians :-)

If we could figure out how to make the whole country allergic to politicians, America would be great again by tomorrow afternoon.

Giulani NO ON TERRI. Romney NO ON TERRI. McCain NO ON TERRI.

Brownback PRO-TERRI. They didn't ask the other candidates to answer the Terri question but imo, Gilmore would be NO on Terri. I think he was RNC chair when Terri was killed. Predecessor Ed Gillespie's staff played an important part in Terri's save in 2003. Thanks, EG. No thanks, Gilmore. And Martinez the new RNC chair. forget about it!

So, that's the toteboard: Giulani NO ON TERRI. Romney NO ON TERRI. McCain NO ON TERRI. (courts, family) the excuses only ignorant people would rely on). Romney is getting Sembler money. Sembler is friend of Judge Greer. Romney cannot be for Terri or future Terri's due to money from Mel Sembler. Sembler is in crist's gang of phony pubbies.

Okay: DUNCAN HUNTER is against euthanasia and PRO-TERRI. I missed that but I got the others who addressed the Terri question which comes up in almost every debate.

Tancredo didn't get the question but probably pro-Terri.

From the opinions expressed in THIS very limited report (which does not mention Terri, I must note), the one candidate who picks up ground in my view is Mitt Romney.

"whether Congress was right to inject itself in the Terry Schiavo right-to-die case."

IMO, the issue re: Terri is NOT about congress injected itself. There was SO MUCH CORRUPTION in the State of Florida. Why was the corruption that targeted Terri never investigated? Why did Fl AG crist, now the governor ABANDON TERRI but the State just voted to give a paralyzed young lady 8.5 mil and the family of Martin Anderson (he was murdered by Fl LE. Where's the Schindler's FIVE MIL TOO? They are paying off families imo to get the black vote and Terri wasn't black. She was robbed and then they killed her. She was the wrong race and sex.

governor crist is the BIGGEST PANDERER bar none. when he is on the news and almost cries saying "justice", it is disgusting. He has no idea what he's talking about. He's a death cultist.

Brownback was knowledgeable on foreign policy, etc. They are trying to pain SB in a corner and using Terri to do so.

Mitt Romney is against tax dollars funding embryonic stem cell research because he's been studying the matter. He is for neural transfer research and for "private" embryonic stem cell research. Mitt is afraid of a "brave new world". sure, sure.

Mitt re: Terri it should be up to the courts.

Followup by FV: Well, uh, Mitt, what if the courts were corrupt AND incompetent and there were no checks and balances? Mitt, do more research here:

Eliminate McCain and Giuliani on Terri issues. Give McCain special credit for idiocy. "We should have taken more time," said he, forgetting that the victim was being murdered before the eyes of the world. As it was, Congress did not finish the bill until Terri had been dehyrdated and starved for some six days, and had only a few more days to live.

How much time did you need to rescue a dying woman, McCain? You should have sent federal marshalls because Terri was under subpoena.

Oh, now, I didn't say I approved of him! :-) I just said he made himself look a little better in the debate.

Haleigh Poutre was victimized on Mitt's watch.

Congress-smongresh. While congress and the president ordered a de novo hearing before J. Whittemore, they were cancelling her rescue. The special Easter session in D.C. was a diversion cuz by the Monday after Easter, Rep. Dave Simmons already knew Terri was gonna be a martyr. How did Dave Simmons from Tallahassee know the Easter orders from DC were not going to enforced?

Dave Simmons' slip of the tongue is preserved on the internet.

It was state sponsored murder with the feds acting as decoy on Easter Sunday.

Yes.

I am more allergic to liberal media than even to politicians. I get blotchy red hives just from listening to the "NPR voice." It is like a post-Prom party in Hell.

There are serious child abuse problems in Massachusetts. I thought Mitt was too slick and he did flip flop too. His ties to Sembler axe him for me. imo, mitt’s a bush-bot.

>> Congress-smongresh.

Say THAT ten times fast :-) :-)

Seriously, the Congressional "intervention" was a non-issue whether the case was "fixed" or not. It was seven years after the real intervention and did not affect Terri's murder by one minute. Terri's story lasted fifteen YEARS and half that time she was under legal death threat. Congress didn't show up till the last six or seven DAYS.

I don't know if you caught it, but Senate Democrats -- including Tom Harkin, who is supposedly pro-life -- sabotaged the bill by insisting that it be personal to Terri. Congress is not supposed to make laws for one person, it is supposed to make general laws for everyone. The Demos knew it would be struck down on appeal. Due to the time pressure, the House had to buy the flawed version in conference committee.

The case was fixed when an early attorney erred by putting that Terri was pvs in the record. It wasnt true but that lady is now a judge, appointed by Jeb Bush.

What I specifically approved of were Mitt's statements 1) that he had changed his mind on abortion; that's a lot more manly than trying to straddle the position or shrug off his past view; and 2) saying that the WOT was bigger than chasing Osama bin Laden. It certainly is. It's about religion and ideas, not about one man.

Besides, Osama is probably still dead. He hasn't been seen in public for five and a half years.
