Latin Rudy Not so hot in May [Giuliani]
National Review ^ | May 1, 2007 | By Jim Geraghty

Posted on 05/02/2007 7:50:05 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

It was by no means a bad appearance for Rudy Giuliani late Tuesday morning at the Latino Coalition. But one got the feeling that his applause lines were a little out of sync with his audience’s passions.

Latino Coalition Chairman Hector Barreto — President Bush’s appointed head of the Small Business Administration from 2001 until last year — gave an introduction so effusively enthusiastic that Giuliani ought to take him on the road with him for his stump speeches. Barreto noted that the group had invited every major candidate, “Republican, Democrat, Green, red or blue” and that only Giuliani had accepted; and he mentioned that the former New York City mayor had rearranged his schedule in order to appear. He was, Barreto said, supposed to be in California preparing for a debate at the Reagan library later this week. Describing Giuliani’s accomplishments as mayor, he summarized, “Rudy [pause] did [pause] miracles.”

So maybe it would be tough to live up to the hype, as Rudy was greeted with a standing ovation from the 250 or so Latino Coalition members in the ballroom of the Four Seasons in Washington.

“Dignity” is not a word commonly heard on the campaign trail, but speaking before a group that included a healthy amount of small business owners and entrepreneurs, Giuliani more or less portrayed it as the centerpiece of his campaign.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Rudy is pro-illegal immigrant.

Anyone that says illegals have a Constitutional right to welfare is unfit for public office of any kind.

Gawd, I have to create a database to catalogue the various reasons that Rudy is unfit to be anything more than dogcatcher.

I don’t think he could be dogcatcher. How would he catch them running around in a skirt?

Here's a couple of reasons why Giuliani's words to the Latino Coalition are complete lies:

Rudy Headlines on Immigration (1997)
Albany Rips Rudy's Immigrant Funds (Funds that were against state law, at that.)
Rudy's Welfare Plea (Fought to keep immigrants on welfare.)
Sanctuary Laws and Giuliani

And the most damning one of all:

Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani today joined a cross section of New Yorkers on Ellis Island to announce the creation of an Immigration Coalition that will mount a public education campaign to the vital contributions immigrants make to our nation and to overturn recently enacted federal anti-immigrant legislation and policies.

Rudy sued the government over those laws, and he was turned down by the SCOTUS...and even after he was told to end NYC's sanctuary city status, he defied them anyway.

"He [Giuliani] described his exasperation with the immigration authorities as mayor: “I had the police go after drug dealers, and I told the immigration authorities, ‘I got a couple hundred drug dealers you can deport, why don’t you put ’em first?’

Rudy FOUGHT the FEDS to prevent that kind of conversation from EVER HAPPENING by defending NYC's sanctuary city policy. And now he has the UNMITIGATED NERVE to push this fictional claim?

Not only that, but in the June 2005 National Review Online interview with Fred Siegel (big Rudy-booster and fan, author of 'Prince of the City'), Kathyrn Jean Lopez asked the following question:

Q - "How did Giuliani's immigration policy contribute to our 9/11 intelligence failure?"

Siegel: "Giuliani's lax policy on immigration helped allow several of the hijackers to operate comfortably in Brooklyn only a few blocks from my house."

http://www.nationalreview.com/interrogatory/siegel200506220755.asp

So due to Giuliani's FAILURE to enforce the law, he actually helped *enable* some of the 9/11 hijackers to carry out their mission.

Let the word go out.

Thank you. Sorry to be slow replying. Now that I've become a lord of the Sith, I've been writing a Sith fight song.

Give a cheer, cheer, cheer
For fear, fear, fear
For fear will lead to anger, Siths, and anger leads to hate!
Say hip, hip, hooray!
For hatred every day!
We're marching out to kick some butt, the weak deserve their fate!

Now all we need is some Sith cheerleaders in miniskirts.

On a whim, I checked Google images for Sith cheerleaders and was astounded to find some. See, I am so culturally retardo, I'd never heard of Sith before, much less Sith cheerleaders.

I could get used to this :-)

“A lib creates reality in their own mind.”

That is a key observation in determining a Liberal as well A lib can hear, but doesn’t want to hear anything that is anti the reality created in their own mind.

Back to Rudy Giuliani topic...NO RUDY. He isn’t qualified any way, shape, or form to be the President of this Nation. He ain’t caught a Rabbit and he ain’t no friend of mine.
