Glenn Beck Exposes the Real Danger and Hidden Agendas Behind Global Warming. Wednesday, MAY 2ND, 7 & 9 PM ET Headline News
Is there more than 1...
I saw an individual named Bill Maguire, who does something or other in climatology, make the same comment on a History Channel show which labelled Global warming as the number 1 fear...he is a Brit, and he is nasty...so the use of the plural in ‘critics’ is absolutely justified...what’s misleading is nitpicking the entire debate in hopes of finding some marginal statement that can be trumpeted to discredit the whole argument...
You need to get out more. There have been dozens of examples of this. Here are just a few.
Scott Pelley And Catherine Herrick of 60 Minutes
Scott Pelley of 60 Minutes and Al Gore
PBS newsman Bill Moyers, Grist Magazines staff writer David Roberts, and Al Gore.
“Global warming supporters have claimed that critics of their climate theory are akin to Holocaust deniers”
Ellen Goodman wrote exactly that. No question. That is 1.
The thing with Grist is just a wacko and by no means prominent enough to count for anything. Just like the crazies who were showing up at funerals to protest homosexuals do not reflect the anti-homo-agenda movement.
I just don’t buy it with the whole - he interviewed this guy or that guy. It is drive-by-media gotcha akin to saying the views of a given University or Golf Club reflect on where a politician speaks or plays golf. Yes, the left does it, but we hate them for it.
Al Gore and Scott Pelly made the comparison to the holocaust, but they did not say that denying global warming is akin to denying the holocaust. They just didn’t say that.
Am I picking nits... Of course. Does the left do exactly and 1000 times worse than this. Of course they do.
My apologies for wanting conservatives to have a higher standard. Perhaps me, and an awful lot of Americans with some standards are the reason the GOP is out of power in Congress. Or maybe it is the lack of the GOP having standards higher than the RATS anymore.
They are making the analogy. There is no doubt what Gore is implying by involking the 'denier' termonology. The language of the debate has shifted from calling people 'skeptics' to calling them 'deniers'. I find it very distrubing.
My apologies for wanting conservatives to have a higher standard....
...Please...you’re question regarding the use of plural identifications has been answered...just let it go...
youre question
...and my next grammar class begins in about two minutes...
I enjoyed it and plan to watch it again this weekend.
I like how Beck is citing FALSEHOODS ....and.... DEBUNKED SCIENTISTS while Gore is perfect. It is obvious they do not want a real debate, so they simply attack anyone who brings reasons for doubt to the public forum.
Only Gore and Crow can have a say.
