Why is this even debatable? Exactly. Otherwise, you've got nine men in black robes who can dictate anything they wish, and our Republic is dead. Or to paraphrase Ann Coulter, think of how the liberals would feel if there were nine conservative justices dictating to liberals? They'd be ballistic.
