'Bob And Tom' Billboard Too Racy For Some

BOISE, Idaho -- The Indianapolis-based "Bob And Tom" radio show is the subject of controversy in Boise, Idaho, where some say a caricature is a bit too revealing.

Billboards promoting the nationally syndicated show, which originates at WFBQ, show likenesses of Bob and Tom strategically placed on a tight T-shirt, covering a woman's chest.

Some parents were upset that their children are seeing the billboard.

"My kids both saw it and my daughter is 7 and she said, 'Mom, that's gross, that's immodest,'" said Kayla Mooso. "I think that's against my parental rights because I can't turn it off like I can when I choose not to buy a magazine or I choose not to go to the back of the video store."

Scott Souhrada, the program director of the Boise station that carries the show, said he think the billboard speaks to the audience he is trying to reach.

"The audience for the Bob and Tom show is predominately men 25-54 and we thought that would appeal to them and attract their attention," Souhrada said.

Management at the station said it is taking public comment into consideration and will decide later this week if the billboards will stay up.

Are you thinking that Kayla may be the type that looks for reasons to take offense?

Please don't stereotype mothers of 7-year-olds who say "immodest." That's offensive. And don't look at Kayla's boobs when you say it.

She ought not walk down Hollywood Boulevard or visit any beach or swimming pool.

And that 7 year old needs to learn sooner or later that men like to look at boobs so she isn’t surprised when men look at hers in 10 years

The was a medical study ten years ago which proved that looking at breast cleavage lowered male blood pressure. It is GOOD for men to gawk at boobs.

Not without moral training. IMO a 7 yo who uses the word 'immodest' is likely parroting what they heard an adult say.

Muslims use the term frequently. Hmmm. Sharia alert?

Thank you....now I’ve gone apoplectic.

[sheesh]

Somehow, I’m finding it just a TAD questionable that a seven-year old would be “offended”....you can see MUCH worse walking around in ANY mall in America...........!!!

Only fat, ugly lesbo’s would complain about something that is appealing to men. Although they hate men, they try to look, act, and sound like them.

My 4 year old informed me the other day that my failure to put a pair of scissors back where they belonged was a "safety violation."

I have no doubt she will be using words far more complex than "immodest" three years from now.

Idaho is about 86% Mormon.

Preview of a Romney presidency

Or seven year old girls wearing underwear with “Juicy” on it. There are far worse things I have seen than that billboard.

Actually Idaho is not even close to being 86% Mormon.

I braved clicking on this thread; I thought I would see Bob & Tom kissing.

Everything about this billboard appears healthy to me.

To be honest going that way is far better than a Clinton presidency would be.

And what precisely does the parent propose to do when a girl with similar attributes walks by wearing the exact same t-shirt? How does that fail to "voilate her parental rights" in the same supposed way?

In fact, what about buxom girls with nike shirts... and then those with simply snug tees... and then bikini tops on a hot day...
