Between 1:07 and 1:12 of the video you can see President Bush poking illegals with a stick to get them riled up.

Incredible. Cops are actually treating criminals like criminals.

What's this country coming too?

I guess I'd like to feel bad for the guy with his kids but...he came out to make trouble, looks like he got it.

So, uh, why'd he bring the kids along? Human shield, Palestinian style?

Maybe CPS needs to visit to see about the welfare of the little American citizens (sic)...

We use to have rallies at the Federal Building at Westwood and Wilshire on July 4 every year and often the Mexicans would throw frozen soda pop cans at us from the other side of the street. The LAPD was great - the cops were always so nice to us and when purchasing a 25 cent hot dog many would give a 1 dollar or 5 dollar bill and tell us to keep the change. They knew their money was going to a good cause.

Clashes erupt with LAPD during evening immigrant rally at MacArthur Park

Police StateTuesday's protests were generally peaceful most of the day, but the calm was broken by run-ins between police and demonstrators during an evening rally in MacArthur Park. Just after 6 p.m., some of the few thousand participants still in the park started throwing plastic bottles and rocks at police, said Mike Lopez, spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. Then, several dozen riot police, clad in helmets and carrying batons, started clearing the park, firing a few dozen volleys of rubber bullets into the crowd. No one appeared to be hit. ...Then, several dozen riot police, clad in helmets and carrying batons, started clearing the park, firing a few dozen volleys of rubber bullets into the crowd. No one appeared to be hit. A reporter saw at least three people struck by police batons.

Several marchers and police officers were injured, Lopez said, adding that arrests were made but it was not known how many.

A helicopter flew low over the east side of the park about 6:30 p.m. and sirens blasted as police ordered people out of the park, telling them they would be arrested if they didn't move out.

The police formed a riot line across the park on the east side, forcing the crowd to move west in a big mass. Some of the participants were yelling at police, "You can't do this."

About 6:45 p.m., police ordered the last people out of MacArthur Park, mostly news personnel and some marchers filming the police actions, declaring an "unlawful assembly..."

Love the CNN caption on the lower right of the screen: “Immigration Outrage”. Guess their position is pretty obvious.

From www.nbc4.tv:
...The march followed an earlier gathering in downtown Los Angeles that attracted about 10,000 people.

The march started Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of West Third Street and Vermont Avenue in Koreatown. Marchers headed east and south along the sidewalks to MacArthur Park for the rally.

Officers responded to reports of disturbances Tuesday evening at the park. Officers in riot gear cleared a crowd from the park.

Witnesses said rubber bullets were fired into the crowd. Witnesses said the police activity began after one of the marchers confronted an officer.

There were no reports of serious injuries...

From cbs2.com:
...The violence stemmed from the throwing of a bottle at police officers, dressed in riot gear, who acted quickly to quell the disturbance...
