The Iraqi Prime Minister said that the Iraqi Cabinet accepted a draft law which states how Iraq's oil profits will be shared, it will also outline terms of how foreign oil agencies will be able to operate in the country, Iraq Development Program reported.

Under the terms of the new draft law, the Iraqi National Oil Company (INOC) will be independently functional and joined with oil companies around the country.

Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister stated that the oil sector's profits will be put in a central account and distributed according to population and that the draft law will be put into action by the end of this month.

YOUR ACTION REQUESTED BY SOME TROOPS IN IRAQ: Please spread the word about an appeal for redress that people in the military can sign to show support for the mission. They are having problems getting the word out:

If you haven't seen this yet: A campaign by active-duty troops asking Congress to drop plans for a withdrawal from Iraq. Lt. Jason Nichols, a 33-year-old naval projects officer who has been in Baghdad since mid-January, said the goal is to keep lawmakers focused on letting the military finish its mission in Iraq, and not prematurely declare failure

I sure and glad green peace and the sierra club have been able to get this government to burden us all and the global warming crowd to stop us from using oil.

Now they will have nothing to sell anyone can buy.

This is BIG news.

Now Parliament must vote on it to make it law. They haven't had a quorum in months because members are not showing up.

I'd like to see them brought back at gunpoint.

Now, they want a two month vacation. Hey, no problem. Our kids will just stay behind in Baghdad and die while you guys go shopping in Paris. Have fun...

"The Iraqi parliament - who our brave young men and women are fighting to protect and preserve - is planning on taking a two month vacation during the months of July and August. This is wrong on so many levels."

edcoil’s reply was, as far as I can see, meant as sarcasm/humour.

Simple solution. Bush declares Marshal Law and makes the Congress and Supreme Court of non-effect then does what is necessary to finish this war.

That'll put a bee in pelosi and reid's bonnet.

I’m still looking for the clause which requires Iraq to start making restitution to the Coalition for pulling their goat-f_ing a$$es out of Hussein Hell.

This looks like a bad idea. Someting like Alaska would probably be better, or sell the land to the highest bidder.

And if he got away with it, can you imagine what a Hitlery might do? To us.

Believe me. When Congress gave the President the authority to do just that during Bush Sr.'s term as president I worried throughout the '90's that the Clinton's would do it. Just look at what they did to the Branch Dividians and Elian Gonzales for example.

People need to remember the '90's and do whatever they can to stop it from happening again. Hillary is a wicked and evil k-9.
