Roseanne Barr went from a funny sitcom star to a pariah with one horrible National Anthem' rendition where she grabbed her crotch and spat after butchering the Star-Spangled Banner in San Diego. Rosie O'Donnell went from the 'queen of nice' to the 'queen of mean' by hosting 'The View' shock jock style and blasting away at anyone and everyone that didn't agree with her politics. So - can one replace the other? Can Barbara Walters fading reputation take it?

The New York Post has a report that Roseanne Barr has emerged as the top contender to replace Rosie O'Donnell next year on "The View," sources tell the newspaper.

"She's a piece of work, she's a character, she says what's on her mind and she's funny," said a source with knowledge of ABC's sudden and desperate search to find a new co-host to replace O'Donnell who quit the show last week. "They're missing strong personalities on that show, and that's what they're going to need if they want to keep it going," an ABC staffer close to the situation told the Post.
The paper notes that during an appearance on "Larry King" last week, Roseanne danced around the question of joining the "The View." "I'm not looking for the job," she said at one point - and joking at another, "Well, I want $10 million, like Rosie."
I'd like to redirect that.
I would think a Jewish person growing up in Salt Lake City may be slightly justified in having a harsh opinion of a Mormon Presidential Candidate.
It's not my opinion, I'm just making a logical observation.
Can you imagine how many times she might have had to explain that she was of one of the original tribes to those of a rediscovered tribe? Even the ostracism in school or the secret life of resentment alone would color one's judgment.
You have to admit, "If you could be a tree, which one would you be", was not very intellectually deep. Or, flirting with Castro on national TV...
Is this on a ton-per-ton basis or simply pure intelligence?

Replacing one fat a$$ed, small brained, big-mouthed lesbian with another is more disaster for Baba’s reputation. Given Rosie’s change from “Queen of nice” as she became more unhinged you can expect the same from Roseanne, (Rosie II) once she is fitted for a reinforced chair.
