Edwards Pitches Clinton-era Taxes (and MORE Taxes)
THE WASHINGTON TIMES ^ | April 30, 2007 | Stephen Dinan

SAN DIEGO -- Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards said yesterday raising taxes for higher-income families back to their levels under the Clinton administration is a floor, not a ceiling, and he would consider even higher tax increases. "What I believe is the starting place is to go back to the Clinton levels," Mr. Edwards told reporters after addressing the 2,000 delegates to California's state Democratic Party convention.

Edwards is the proto-typical Democrat scumbag who thinks only about confiscating more and more and more taxes from society’s producers so that it can be spent by him and other Democrats to buy the votes of society’s losers, bums, and parasites - - aka, the Democrat “base”.

The only thing that the Breck Girl will be remembered for is the $400 hair-styling sessions .

He got cooked in the debate and should have admitted that his moral guidance came from his hairspray happy hairstylist .

I agree. Edwards is essentially a non-factor at this point, and proclaiming to America that he wants to confiscate more of their money is political suicide. (Sure, all the rats want the same thing, but at least they understand they need to lie about it.) I really can’t figure out what Edwards is doing.

He’s making his base happy. He gets a lot of money from the Soros foundations and all his guidance from the far left blogs.

Think, What would make DU happy? And Edwards will do it. He must NOT get into power. He would make this country as useless and powerless as France, if he could.

I agree.
I think Barry O’bama really threw Edward’s game plan for a loop.

I guess the best that the Breck Girl can do is let his wife go after their “financially challenged” Republican neighbors .... pathetic....

Two America’s indeed ...

Edwards is in the race only to over inflate an inflated ego.

Well said. But I wonder why rich liberals are pro-taxes, especially for those in the upper income brackets like Edwards when they stand to loose themselves.

Edwards doesn't stand to loose much for the simple reason that income and wealth are not the same thing.

See, Edwards has already made the big bucks. He can just dump all that money into things like municiple bonds (tax-exempt!) and live off the interest. Lots of Rich New England Democrats live like that.

They're like the little old ladies living in $500,000 homes in Miami making $30,000/year on $1,000,000 at 3% interest.

They pay almost no taxes, yet are richer than 90% of the rest of us.

Interesting. I wonder what his position on taxes was when he had an income, fleecing corporations.

GO EDWARDS!!!

Heck, I may even send him money. Not...

John Edwards said yesterday raising taxes for higher-income families back to their levels under the Clinton administration is a floor, not a ceiling, and he would consider even higher tax.

Love to hear that, especially down here in Florida where there's a statement movement going towards reducing, if not eliminating entirely property taxes in favor of increasing a state tax in order to effectively spread the tax burdon and reduce it on individuals (homeowners in particular.)

So after all our problems with taxation the Breck girl promise to kick in some astronomical increases (any increases is astronomical.) Florida may run their Dims out of the state...sorry in advance, Georgia.

Paid for out of campaign funds illegally, mind you. This was one of the earlier points brought up in the debate for Edwards. His response? "It was a mistake that has been corrected".

Not ready for prime time, I'm afraid...lol!

I think Barry O’bama really threw Edward’s game plan for a loop.

What threw Edwards' game plan for a loop was the democRATs changing their primary schedule to have a Super-Dooper Tuesday. Edwards had counted on Iowa being the first and only "early" primary.

"What I believe is the starting place is to go back to the Clinton levels,"

The Breck Girl is grooming himself for the VP position under Clintoon. The question is whether his hair will clash with hers.
