Well McGuirk, welcome to the world you helped create.
“Nappy-headed” was over the line.
I guess we know where the line was on that particular day. (Dissing future President Hillary was the real line they crossed)

Imus gave Sharpton the spotlight by apologising every 3 minutes and kissing Sharpton’s shoe for forgiveness.
The writer of the story didn’t have the courag to put in the really interesting things that McGuirk said:
On Sharpton:
“Sharpton would bring a wheelchair to an amusement park so he could jump the line.”
“”Classless clown”
“Sanctimoious skunk.”
“Used the situation to further himself.”
“The white interloper episode with Freddie’s Market actually led to people’s death.”
“The media treated him like he was somebody.”
Sharpton “got treated like royalty.”
He referred to the network executives at CBS and MSNBC as “the Neville Chamberlains of broadcasting. They caved to that terrorist. Free speech surrender monkeys.” He said that Sharpton “terrorized tehse brodacast executives. They were in the fetal position under their desks, sucking their thumbs.”
McGuirk wouldn’t comment on whether he would sue CBS.
He said “It’s a horrible thing for this country when people can’t poke fun at each other. Everyone’s got to lighten up. It is a slippery slope.”
“The PC Police are here.”
But you’re not going to see any of that in the MSM articles about the interview.
On FR: Imus Grills Schumer for Not Visiting Walter Reed
Imus impugned a female basketball team...Schumer saw his opportunity...called Sharpton and asked him for a favor....
I watched the rebroadcast of H&C specifically to see this interview.
I was struck by the fear I saw in McGurks face, in his eyes. I was also struck by his constant use of the term ‘Mr Imus’ over and over and over.
Imus is a millionaire many times over. It doesn’t matter if he ever gets back on the air, he’ll never be eating cat food for dinner.
McGirk, however, is radioactive. He’s got a wife and kid and a mortgage. And I’d say after watching him closely, he’s frightened he’s ruined financially in addition to being ‘blackballed’ in his chosen profession.
