I’ve heard there isn’t alot of ‘kissing’ in bollywood films, but plenty of other stuff, if you get my meaning.

Compared to most of our movies, they’re rather clean. Also, the music is often rather good.

The funniest movie I think I ever saw was when we were visiting India in ‘95. My hubby’s grandmother (late 80s)
was watching an Indian movie on tv, so I sat down to watch it with her. Turns out it was a slasher type movie (not bloody/gore-y like ours are, more suggestive like “Psycho”, etc.)
Right smack dab in the middle of the movie, there’s a huge,
HUGE love song and dance routine on a beach somewhere (movie was set in a big city, Bombay/Mumbai, IIRC) for about 10 minutes, then whammo! Right back to the slasher movie.
DH said he thought there was some sort of law in Bollywood that said ALL movies made in India were required to have a big song and dance routine in them! ;-)

Richard Gere has defamed Buddhism
H.H. the Dalai Lama should call him strongly to task .
How has he defamed Buddhism?
By being such a self-proclaimed and visible
worldwide well known Buddhist , he has absolutely
no right ,under Buddhist rules governing the conduct of
Buddhist lay people , to virtually sexually assault
a woman , live on stage , as he did.
India should list him as persona non-grata.
The man is without shame and arrogant .
