TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan's bee farmers are feeling the sting of lost business and possible crop danger after millions of the honey-making, plant-pollinating insects vanished during volatile weather, media and experts said on Thursday.

Over the past two months, farmers in three parts of Taiwan have reported most of their bees gone, the Chinese-language United Daily News reported. Taiwan's TVBS television station said about 10 million bees had vanished in Taiwan.

A beekeeper on Taiwan's northeastern coast reported 6 million insects missing "for no reason", and one in the south said 80 of his 200 bee boxes had been emptied, the paper said.

When this problem surfaced here I suggested possible agri-terrorism of some kind. Now that it appears to be in Taiwan as well I cant help but ask who is our common enemy and who stands to gain here? Time to dust off the old foil cap.

It’s also happening in Brazil and Europe. Looks too wide spread to be a targeted operation.

This continues to gain attention - and it should. Whatever is causing it- the implications are serious and apparently becoming world wide.

They aren't that serious. There were no bees in the Americas before Columbus. Somehow, the Indians managed to survive and even grow crops.

Revelation 6:

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

It won’t be long before some uninformed poster will mention Einstein quotes.

p.s. False quotes about bees and Einstein are floating around.

This thing is global. It’s also incredibly serious. I’ve been following the story for a couple of months, and it gets worse every day.
I don’t think it has anything to do with terrorism, and I’m a professional paranoid.

Who wants to think that “Dr Germ” in Saddam’s regime might have created a problem in order to drastically reduce food supplies, reduce population, and take over other countries that are weakened??

Revelation 6: 1. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

2. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

3. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

So, have the first two seals been opened? Is the US and its allies the White Horse, and Islamic terrorism the Red?
