Here are two pix of my friend Patty(since 8th grade)- never married, and Josy /Toby. These were taken in March.
Before she started walking with me, her "walks" were relatively short & on sidewalks.
She has been a real trouper & I have tried to help her learn things most of us learned as little kids. She now loves it & feels so cheated for not doing this her early years & into adulthood. She is a marvelous Italian cook & learned from her mom who was 1st generation from Italy. Pat at first was very weary to go into a forest & not see a path to know the way back, she is getting more confident that I am a strong navigator & I have taught her some survival & "don't get lost tricks" the past couple years.
These pix are in Brecksville. We are ontop of the valley of Chippewa Creek. We parked below & went up the 300 foot plateau. As I have dogs off leash, we dont do trails & so just go up the slopes
Yesterday we were out for 2.5 hours & Did the Tinker's creek valley. I am guessing we did about 6 or 7 miles & 4 times went up & down the steep valley.
Patty is quite petite.. about 5'1" $ I am 5'8". I tell her my longer legs make it easier for me & that is true. She is in good shape as was a dancer well into her 30s & still works out
Great thread, Billie. I love cocker spaniels! Thank you for all your hard work.
Here is a picture I get such a kick out of:
(((((Dolly))))), I Love your Pics of Patty Hiking through the Woods. I Know how Wonderful it is to Do that, Glory to our Lord, with Thanksgiving for Great Mercies Received!

Sorry: not possible ... no way that you can have known this gal since 8th grade - unless she was a toddler and you babysat for her parents!
I enjoy your photos, Dolly. You live in such a beautiful area of the country.
I am curious if you ever encounter any snakes - probably rattle snakes are not indigenous to your area, but we have to be on the lookout for them here.
