And the more well-known Rudy's bleeding-heart liberalism becomes, the more support he will lose.

Rudi needs the Republican base to become the nominee, these views won't get him the votes he needs if a Conservative (With name recognition) enters the field

I think a lot of his support to this point has been born of hopefulness on the part of Republicans desperate for someone with some signs of a backbone. He is going to have a really hard time getting support of conservatives if someone comes along who toes a different line on gun control, abortion, etc.

The Conservative agenda works every time it is tried. I hope that all Republicans really do rally behind a Conservative candidate and that we succeed in putting him in the White House come 2008.

Last week, Giuliani came under fire for telling pro-life advocates to get over the abortion issue. "Our party has to get beyond issues like that," he told the Des Moines Register newspaper.
He also appeared to indicate that the Republican Party won't gain supporters if it retains its pro-life position.
"Our party is going to grow, and we are going to win in 2008 if we are a party characterized by what we're for, not if we're a party that's known for what we're against," he said.
Those comments followed the flap on abortion funding.
Get over abortion? Government funded abortion? Not on your life, Rudy!!
Yeah, it's characterized by what we're FOR all right. You're FOR slaughtering millions of innocent babies and we're FOR preserving Life and Liberty!! Go sell your liberal butchery to the demoncrats!!

He’s not going to be the GOP nominee.

state of the republican party ... our “top three” candidates
Rudy McRomney
Rudy = RINO (media would crush him on his marriages, etc.)
McCain = Will say (or sing) anything to get elected ... changes views frequently (media would crush him on his temper, Keating 5, etc.)
Romney = Another position changer (media will hammer him on that ... and you will her jokes about us having first ladies ... plural; descendent of polygamists)
