Jihadists to Britons "Hiroshima is coming"
Threats upon England ^ | 04 23 2007 | drzz

AL-QAEDA leaders in Iraq are planning the first “large-scale” terrorist attacks on Britain and other western targets with the help of supporters in Iran, according to a leaked intelligence report.

Spy chiefs warn that one operative had said he was planning an attack on “a par with Hiroshima and Nagasaki” in an attempt to “shake the Roman throne”, a reference to the West.

Another plot could be timed to coincide with Tony Blair stepping down as prime minister, an event described by Al-Qaeda planners as a “change in the head of the company”.

The report, produced earlier this month and seen by The Sunday Times, appears to provide evidence that Al-Qaeda is active in Iran and has ambitions far beyond the improvised attacks it has been waging against British and American soldiers in Iraq.

I would never take this as cheap talk. These fools can be very serious. If they do this, we will be in a nuclear war.

On december 2000, Al-Quaeda failed to explode a “dirty bomb” in Sydney, Australia.

A dirty bomb is made with radioactive stuff and explosives.

The effect is not the scale of an atomic bomb, but larger than an usual IED.

If they do this, we will be in a nuclear war.

We will be on the receiving end but there is no way in Heck that the west will bomb anyone who isn’t a sovreign nation state, and even that is a far stretch because of the modern aversion to civillian casualties.

That doesn't bother me; I'm fairly close to Davis, California, which is a "Nuclear Free Zone". I should "feel" safe there.

Yeah, everybody knows the terrorists don't have WMD's. They're mothers and fathers, too.

There still may be enough resolve in America to respond in kind if we get nuked (at least until 1/20/2009), but I seriously doubt that the Brits or any other European country would have the balls to do it.

G*dd*mned political correctness ...

As long as George Bush is in office, the US will probably not be hit again. They are scared of him.

Good one :)..Let's think like liberals: let's make it "illegal to have a nuke" and post signs in all major cities in the West declaring them "Nuclear Free Zones" Wow, it "feels" good to solve that problem! /liberalLogic.

When we get hit again, it won’t be pretty. The scariest part is how people will react. One thing for certain: Political Correctness will probably go out the door to a large extent.

No, actually it isn't. Any explosive effects are identical to that of the same mass of chemical propellant. The ONLY thing a dirty bomb does is cost a lot of money for cleanup, scare the pants off a bunch of people, and MAYBE give a few people some elevated level of radiation exposure. As actual implements of destruction, they are grossly overblown.

I used to believe the same thing about the US but, it’s false hope I’m afraid. We are now not much better than the Brits and Frogs. We just don’t have the stomach, look at how the polls, and Republicrats have been reacting to Iraq and even Afganistan, more and more people are unable to handle the daily “so many troops dies in a roadside bomb” stories we are inundated with by the MSM.

They were able to end VietNam in that way and it’s working again for Iraq. Look at our first trip to Somalia, same deal. Our soldiers may be the toughest and our weapons the best but we are no longer willing to support them to do what needs to be done, especially if it means some civillians, kids and oldsters are unfortunately caught in the crossfire.

If Iran’s name keeps coming up linked to Al-Queda or the taliban look for them to be bombed indefinetly before Bush is out office.

"If Iran’s name keeps coming up linked to Al-Queda or the taliban look for them to be bombed indefinetly before Bush is out office.".

Are young Americans so ignorant as to believe that Iran doesn't drive the terror that has been brought against the civilized world since the Islamic Revolution of the 1970s?? It certainly doesn't take a Secretary of State (or rocket scientist) to see what's going on.....

if they nuke us anywhere , we should NUKE MECCA .
(with the biggest hydrogen weapon we possess)

This is the only deterrence against these insane people.
Say now , say it in advance and say it loud and clear.

In our country , only Tom Tancredo has said this .
President Bush needs to say this .
To hell with p/c ....just put it out there so that they no ,
in no uncertain terms , exactly what the cost will be if any muslim is allowed to perpetrate such an action.

They ALL lose Mecca ...forever!

To loosely quote another Freeper: Liberals don’t create “Gun Free Zones”; they create “Gun Free Zone” signs.

Britain has been very accomodating to the people who are now planning to destroy it. If Britain had expelled them and block entry, this problem would not exist.

We can selectively target areas of Iran, the Pashtun areas of the Northwest frontier, Venezuela (why not), any and all Muslim brotherhood facilities and personnel and Hezbollah. - for starters
