It amazes me that we keep have the blasts in Texas at oil installations but it is NEVER a terrorist attack. I think the Bush people are withholding the truth from the American people. Are you joking or wearing your tin foil? Or do you mean the truth that the oil industry pays remarkably little attention to safety?

The explosion was caused by a leaking gas line. It was located near the intersection of E I-820 and Rosedale, which is in the former community of Handley adjacent to the Exelon Corporation's
Handley Generating Plant.

Hopefully he was joking.
Explosions and fires have been happening around oil and gas a lot longer than there has been a serious threat of terrorism in the U.S.
BTW, here a link for streaming audio to the station where they are reporting on the fire.

Actually the stock yards aren’t in use anymore - except as a tourist attraction.

Star-Telegram
A gas line fire provided quite a show early Monday for motorists in the area of Loop 820 and Berry Street in Fort Worth.
Flames shooting into the air from a TXU power plant north of Lake Arlington were providing quite a show early Monday for commuters in east Fort Worth, but there was no word on any injuries or a cause.
Fox 4 reported that the fire, captured by Texas Department of Public Safety cameras, was in the area of Northbound East Loop 820 near Rosedale Street. It was noticed about 7:15 a.m.
Initial reports to the Fort Worth Fire Department described the blaze as a brush fire and Fox 4 called it a gas line fire.
Around 7:30 a.m., the fire suddenly dropped.

What a bunch of well coiffured poets.
Amazing how captivated the media is with fire.

They’re saying it was a gas fire. Petrol or the Natural Gas (like Propane)?
