Flames shooting into the air from a TXU power plant north of Lake Arlington were providing quite a show early Monday for commuters in east Fort Worth, but there was no word on any injuries or a cause.
Fox 4 reported that the fire, captured by Texas Department of Public Safety cameras, was in the area of Northbound East Loop 820 near Rosedale Street. It was noticed about 7:15 a.m.
Initial reports to the Fort Worth Fire Department described the blaze as a brush fire and Fox 4 called it a gas line fire.
Around 7:30 a.m., the fire suddenly dropped.
In many ways we seem to be sliding into Third World Status.
Huge fire shooting up into the sky and by tomorrow you won’t hear squat about this story.
Just another indicator our infrastructure is falling apart.
Ho Hum.....
Looks like a natural gas pipeline leak.
Anyone remember the Dime Box, TX fire? That was a pipeline compressor station.
Looks a little like the scene from Blade Runner where they’re in the spinner approaching the Tyrell HQ.
