Funny, I thought this was your replacement for the bar scene, according to one of your previous posts to me.

What does being a Limbaugh staffer prove? It proves more than being some anonymous goober on the Internet.

He can’t declare until the Law and Order season is finished. If he does, the Equal Time rule would jeopardize the last episodes of the season. He is blogging a stream of position papers, clarifying points that might bug conservatives. He wouldn’t be doing that if he wasn’t going to run.

Does that make us Rudyphobes?

If standing for what I believe in makes me hopelessly out of touch, I will wear that moniker proudly. I'm only suggesting that the reality isn't quite what is being perceived here.
It is possible, in a few years, that folks here on FR will have a very, very different perception of Rudy. It might even be that every single prediction of gloom and doom turns out to be 100% wrong.
And if that happens . . . if FR runs off everyone who sees things the way they really are . . . well, I'm just curious how this might all play out.

WHOSE principles do you stand on?
Its a nice try to back out of what you said but it doesnt fly. You typed quicker than you thought because you have been dishing it out with all your vile comments. Its all a heart issue and you exposed whats in your heart. You merely posted on the quick - You dont stand on Godly principles and then try the back door when called on it.
Jim, do you approve of his name calling and slurs when addressing me- , i.e., liberal, cretin. If someone pretending to be against Rudy are they given a free pass. Im sure lurkers are puzzled about this, also. This poster has caused more disruption to this thread and his intentions are not pure, IMO. His traits do not ring conservative.
Now hear this, whatever your name is (since you presently don't have one) I am anti-Rudy to the core, and in fact I am anti-Rudy because at one time I actually thought he might be a good candidate for the GOP, I heard his speech at the GOP '04 convention, I was impressed with what I heard.
Then I educated myself, learned more about what Rudy is all about, and it isn't about ANYthing conservative. His positions are well documented and he belongs with the 'Rat Party, not with Republicans. My anti-Rudy credentials are solid, and there are plenty of Freepers who will back that up.
Now you're trying a nice spin on the whole 'God' issue, but you can't refute what we posted to each other, nor can you spin the context into something it isn't.
You have no idea what is in my heart, because you don't know me. I fortunately don't answer to you, I answer to Jesus Christ who is my Saviour, and I will be the first to tell ANYone that they should look to Christ, not to my flawed soul for guidance, so you can take your self-righteous attempts at sliming my religious faith and jam 'em in whatever orifice you've got available. I will reiterate: I don't answer to you.
You have gone to great lengths to defend a former Freeper who threatened both JimRob AND myself with FBI visits, media pressure, and all over a harmless animated graphic, that she called a 'threat'. Now here you are, not only defending her, but questioning MY conservatism?
You don't know a damn thing about my 'traits' pal, and as for disruption?
That sounds like more liberal projecting from you.
We can keep right on with this until the cows come home, but you're all talk, and you got nothing.

That’s not an answer. It’s an outburst.
Fortunately, I wasn’t expecting any more than that.

I think this was it...
***Duncan Hunter is solid on two areas that cut deeply across party lines and appeal to mainstream voters. One is immigration, where middle america is fed up. The other is fair trade, again where middle america is fed up. He’s very strong on the kinds of issues that the average american admires.
Delphinium has a great example of how these kinds of polls and MSM trashing of socon candidates mean absolutely nothing when the time comes to push the lever. If anything, the negative media attention serves our purposes better when we have a good socon candidate. The media would turn on Rudy so fast it would make a galaxy spin.

Bill Sali won and he was very unashamedly pro-life, less government, less spending, no on taxes, free interprise , no homosexual marriage etc.. and support for the Iraq war securing our borders...all of Jims suggestions.
The media trashed him, the Rinos trashed him even in the general, The polls that the media reported had him so low it looked impossible.
He won big! They were reporting total lying polls to affect the election.

Check this out:
Jim`s post at 1716.
This social conservative vs fiscal conservative stuff is really getting nutty.
As for fiscal vs social conservatives, I wouldnt consider a person conservative unless he was both.

I agree. You can't be a half-baked conservative, and expect full fledged conservatives to accept you with open arms. I see you as a liberaltarian. Not a real conservative.
