I'm only suggesting that the reality isn't quite what is being perceived here.
It is possible, in a few years, that folks here on FR will have a very, very different perception of Rudy. It might even be that every single prediction of gloom and doom turns out to be 100% wrong.
And if that happens . . . if FR runs off everyone who sees things the way they really are . . . well, I'm just curious how this might all play out.

Are you seriously saying Rudy is not proabortion?
or that all his other liberal positions from his own mouth are not the case?
If so, he could settle the record right now, and would get a lot more support on the conservative side (if he could convince folks he was truthful, which might be a tad hard at this point)
Let me just say I’m not holding my breath
Even if he proved to be the greatest president in history in some people’s sight, I could not support someone who stood diametrically for all the things I abhor. Sorry, my principles are not for sale at any price
As far as being able to "see things as they really are" I believe that the overall attitude of the site is that we are a self governing nation...we set our own destiny.
Jim is trying to do that with his site.
Is he blunt and lacking in finesse? Sure. You can't impeach a Clinton if you want to rely upon finesse.

Rudy has on record 30 years of liberalism. Why would he change? He said himself that his opinions will not change.
Rudy is a liberal PERIOD!
After following your recent posts...I have no idea why you are even on this site...

A few months ago when I realized that we could end up with Rudy, I made an effort to warm up to him, hoping that I would find that since the years of being mayor, that he had become more reasonable.
What I came to see was that he was worst than I had realized, it wasn’t just that he isn’t conservative, it is that he really believes in many of the hard left’s positions and he is an active leader in promoting those views and implementing them into law.
It may have been pissant for instance that posted an article that showed Rudy as not just a mushy anti second amendment RHINO, but instead as an active anti-gunner politician that had a personal ambition to end gun ownership. Over the last couple of months I have learned the same about other issues such as abortion.
Now when I look at his strengths that troubled me but that I mostly admired, such as his willingness to roll over anyone to get what he wants and believes in, I realize that as President, most of that would be directed at conservatives.
JR and this thread have really knocked off some of the moss that I had accumulated, especially after our 2006 setback.
Rudy Giuliani is not just a bad conservative, he is anti-conservative.
