The Food and Drug Administration has opened a criminal investigation in the widening pet food contamination scandal, officials said yesterday, as it was confirmed that tainted pork might have made its way onto human dinner plates in California.

Hopefully folks saved some...

Thanks for this info. My parents had a lab die from a mysterious sudden kidney and liver failure in October. She was only 6 years old, and had just been to the vet weeks before and was healthy. They spent thousands at the emergency vet, and she died a painful death. The ER vets and her regular vet have no idea why she died. Hmmm...
My former mother-in-law had both of her dogs get sick (but recovered) from recalled food last month. I passed on the lawyer information. She spent about $500 on the one dog who was sicker (before the recalls came to light.)
I just pulled our dogs’ food after both of them were throwing up within a week of a new bag of their regular food. Our lab was throwing up all night the other night. They eat a dry food that has not been recalled, but I think there is more to come. I started making them homemade food immediately, and they have both been healthy since.
Ya have to wonder if this is an accident or not, or is China showing their contempt for us. Daring us to respond. What kind of idiots do we have in our Gubmint? (A rhetorical question)
Thanks so much for the pings.
“Low grade” terrorism.
“This is only a test, of your emergency response system.”
Please if you would add me to your list too. Thanks so much.
I have read figures in the thousands from numerous sources. It shouldn't be a surprise considering how many brands were affected.
Do you want on the ping list?

You don't keep up with the news, do you?
I’m not sure what planet you’ve been on for the last few weeks, but your utter idiocy and lack of respect for those who have lost pets (4407 DEAD at just ONE clinic), and now it appears that HUMANS are also affected shows just how big a twit some folks are capable of being.
In all truth, I sincerely hope that nobody you know and none of their pets are killed by this poison that somehow ended up in our food chain.
That said, if anyone you are acquainted with IS affected, may it be someone or a pet you adore.
One of my co-workers (I don’t even know her name) lost her 10 year old daughter’s 3 year old dachshund to this. The child is devastated, and mamma’s pretty upset too.
I’d like to say what I think of YOU personally, but, well, I respect the rules of this site. Getting banned for dissing you night be worth it, but you’re NOT.
I feed my dog dry Nutro Lamb & Rice and haven’t had any problems. Treats have been Purina Beggin Strips, Dingo’s rawhide bone with the strip of meat in the middle and Claudia’s Cuisine cookies.
So far no problems. But, I don’t trust the Beggin Strips now because of the corn gluten. I’ve stopped giving them to her just to be safe.
Nutro’s website claims they use a supplier in North America for their dry dog foods and treats.
