Thanks for this info. My parents had a lab die from a mysterious sudden kidney and liver failure in October. She was only 6 years old, and had just been to the vet weeks before and was healthy. They spent thousands at the emergency vet, and she died a painful death. The ER vets and her regular vet have no idea why she died. Hmmm...
My former mother-in-law had both of her dogs get sick (but recovered) from recalled food last month. I passed on the lawyer information. She spent about $500 on the one dog who was sicker (before the recalls came to light.)
I just pulled our dogs’ food after both of them were throwing up within a week of a new bag of their regular food. Our lab was throwing up all night the other night. They eat a dry food that has not been recalled, but I think there is more to come. I started making them homemade food immediately, and they have both been healthy since.
Do you want on the ping list?
I feed my dog dry Nutro Lamb & Rice and haven’t had any problems. Treats have been Purina Beggin Strips, Dingo’s rawhide bone with the strip of meat in the middle and Claudia’s Cuisine cookies.
So far no problems. But, I don’t trust the Beggin Strips now because of the corn gluten. I’ve stopped giving them to her just to be safe.
Nutro’s website claims they use a supplier in North America for their dry dog foods and treats.
