I’ve noticed that. There seems to be a Bully Club here & they seem to stick together, must be part of their creed.
I was referring to the taped message Alec Baldwin left on his 11 or 12 year old daughter’s phone messages. I have never heard such vile language directed toward a child! I heard it on the radio yesterday. The man truly is sick. I don’t care what is going on in court regarding his divorce or custody issues - talking to your child like this - is absolutely inexcusable & indefensible.
Did you hear that tape of Baldwin? No one should ever have a bad moment like that with an eleven yr old daughter. How does he undo that damage with her now? Baldwin is a piece of crap!
Don’t every say anything negative about an action of the Israeli governent or you’ll REALLY see the bully club in action.

I heard it yesterday, too! I felt so sorry for that little girl! Unfortunately she has an a hole for a father.
There are some things that are never acceptable to say to a child regardless of how you FEEL at the time. The statement stands regardless of who said it.
I don’t blame her for not taking his calls - can you imagine the stuff that little girl has had to witness & live through?
Yes I can, I don’t believe this is an isolated incident. If he was a good dad, she wouldn’t be avoiding him. Looks to me like he is burning his bridges beyond repair.
I get that. But if my worst moment was like that I'd be shameful, not defensive.
I have no doubt that the ex is jerking Alec around and maybe even hatefully pushing his buttons on purpose. But neither of them should bring this resentment and bitterness into their contacts with the kid. Not ever. Not once. You don't use the kids as weapons and you don't poison their minds with your own bitterness. Not ever.
His taped rant was worse in that it wasn't even an attack on Basinger through the child, it was a directed personal attack on the 11-year old girl herself. That's just bizarre nomatter the situation. Even if she was deliberately frustrating him... this rant is *still* over the top.
That he did shows plainly the shallowness of his character and that the bitterness has festered into what can only be called a serious personality disorder. That this is only one of many known displays of his narcissism only confirms it more clearly.
By making this tape public, she’s the one who is hurting the kid, not him.
What Baldwin and McGreevey do to their daughters is child abuse. Pure and simple.
Oh? Hearing the tape didn’t hurt the kid? What kind of acrobat do you have to be to be able to twist yourself into a conformation that can defend Alec Baldwin against his own words?
She heard the message before we did. That’s where the damage was done.
I don’t doubt that Basinger has got some issues too, and the kid is probably being messed up by both of them in different ways. But making Basinger the bad guy here is *his* narcissistic defense mechanism. “She drove me to it” is the excuse of a weak mind.

The damage was done when his daughter heard the message. I cannot imagine the pain that would be in my heart if my dad or mom had ever talked to me like that. That poor girl will have to live with this and probably other painful memories for the rest of her life.

Huh? I have only read compassion into most of the comments defending this little girl.
Okay, I'm going to be the one who says it - I made a comment in post #2 about how McGreevy's and Baldwin's children are suffering because of their parent's bad judgments. This was addressed to the poster of the thread.
YOU came out of nowhere in post #10 (copied below this paragraph) and attacked me for attacking Alec Baldwin. Who was the mean, nasty - know-it-all?

I will be getting flamed for this. But believe it or not, I have heard of parents saying worse things than that to their children. This, of course, does not make it right, and I have no kind feelings for Alec Baldwin.
