(04/19/07 -- DURHAM) - A week after state Attorney General Roy Cooper dropped all charges in the Duke Lacrosse case about a dozen people are protesting that decision.
Thursday morning they gathered outside the house on North Buchanan Street, where the infamous party took place, calling for justice. They say the Attorney General made the wrong decision.
On March 13, 2006 an exotic dancer accused three Duke Lacrosse players of kidnapping and raping her. All of those charges have been dropped citing insufficient evidence. AG Cooper said in a press conference last week the accuser could not identify the suspects, and changed her story.
Protestors believe the accuser was denied the right to have her case hear in court. "We want to make sure that the victim receives a fair hearing. We want to see justice prevail through a jury trial," one protestor said.
The group went on to say the focus was shifted away from the accuser to the way Mike Nifong handled the case. The group also said money played a big role in the case.
The lady on the right looks like she’s wearing a tent.
“The picture looks like a bunch of nappy headed hos.”
LOL! Dude,...you’re fired!
Actually, this crew would give “nappy headed hos” a bad name,...at least the aforementioned would be willing to put forth a little effort to generate an income.
It sure is. He quite clearly violated 18 USC 242 and could quite concievably be looking at spending the rest of his life behind bars.
That would be a very good thing.

I doubt it will get that far. But when he gets disbarred he won’t have immunity from civil suits anymore, and then look out.
Hey - I resemble that remark !!
Rabble
Yeah, these would probably pronounce "effort" "afart".
Not so; the three were declared INNOCENT.
More evidence that there are always Demagogues who are dumber than rocks.....
Duke has to clean up its own house, and then it has to move. Nobody in his right mind would send a kid to any school within fifty miles of Durham NC at this point. There is a gigantic potential there for the entire lib power structure at a major university to be totally annihilated; I’d think freepers would find the story interesting.

You’re both right.
All Sex-Assault Charges Against Duke Lacrosse Players Dropped; Players Glad Ordeal Is Over

All sexual assault, kidnapping and other charges have been dropped against the three Duke University lacrosse players indicted for raping an exotic dancer, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper announced Wednesday.
“The result of our review and investigation shows clearly that there is insufficient evidence to proceed on any of the charges,” Cooper said. “Today we are filing notices of dismissal for all charges.”
He added: “We believe these cases were a result of a tragic rush to accuse and failure to verify serious allegations. Based on these significant inconsistencies of evidence and the various accounts given by the accusing witness, we believe these three individuals are innocent of these charges.”
LOL!Agreed! That or he hasn't realized yet that he's standing in the wrong line. As in, "No, they changed it. The bus stop is over there now...across the street..see? By the comic book store?"
Yes they can; and my bill of particulars would include:
1.Nifong - barratry, false prosecution, concealing of evidence.
2. Duke University - slander and libel.
3.Durham - misapplication of the law and failure to supervise their agent (Nifong).
4. The 82 "professors" who wrote and signed two letters excoriating the boys - slander and libel
5. Lastly the girl - the whole legal kitchen sink.
The people should be legally destroyed and pursued to a paupers grave.
Damn. They probably had their eyes on a new plasma TV that they hoped to acquire in the riots and looting that followed the trial.
Hell, the AG is as much protecting the lying ho...er “victim” as he is the innocent LAX players.
Or haven’t these idiots heard about a crime called perjury?
If the victim took the stand and testified, that’s where this might have ended.
What a bunch of adults with special needs.
Can we please stop calling this ‘ho an exotic dancer.
There’s nothing exotic about her, and she doesn’t do much dancing, unless the “horizontal bop” is considered a dance.
