Rutgers team skips Clinton meeting

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue.

Clinton had been scheduled to meet with Scarlet Knight coach C. Vivian Stringer and an assistant, and possibly some of the players, Monday to talk with them about Don Imus's "nappy-headed ho" comments.

But that sit-down was postponed due to weather and because the story seemed far less significant after the Virginia Tech killings.

"Many of the players were in study hall from eight to noon and some had finals," explained a Rutgers source who said the players were "tired" of all the attention. "These young women need to do their classes, and wrap their spring semester."

Bet Hilary was none too pleased.
Don’t they know who she is?

The “victims” moved on, the instigators and ambulance chasers haven’t.

Guess she’ll have to recruit young female “friends” elsewhere.

These are admirable young women. They had “Imus fatigue” and didn’t want to be used as a prop for Hillary Clinton to make a political statement.

I have great respect for these players at not wanting to be used by Hillary.

How much shock and outrage can there be about a DJ who says something stupid?

Has Hillary yet weighed in on the Virginia Tech tragedy? Certainly that’s been more on people’s minds than a dumb comment by a radio personality.

Poor Hillary, the moment has passed.
If she hurries up maybe she can attach herself to events at VTech.

Seriously, what more can be said? Imus got canned and is out of the news now. Hillary is trying to milk this to hold onto the black vote. I think these ladies knew that they were being played to advance the liberal agenda, and rightfully cut the meeting short.

Because of one meeting with a pol, the Governor in the hospital on life support. That is enough for one semester.

A sullen Hillary Clinton brooded alone before muttering to herself something about having more important issues to demagogue ... while her drone mouthpiece Howard Wolfson yelled into his cell phone with handlers at Virginia Tech to find something new and fresh ..........

Maybe Hillary will say that the evil Republicans let the assault weapons ban expire, and that things were wonderful in the Clinton Administration, and that she grew up in a middle class family in the middle of America, and that Republicans ran Congress like a plantation, and because Bush cut mental health funding, that kid didn’t get the compassionate care he needed, and because of lax gun laws, he was able to get a gun, and what about federal aid to college security departments, which has probably been cut by the Bush administration, which then allowed him to be on the loose for hours shooting up that college.

LOL!!

wasn’t some Rutgers official parading about this week saying basically the same thing?
Hillary’s been scooped!
