I just saw Geraldo on The O'Reilly Factor refer to the 2nd Amendment as "loathsome". Please contact Fox News and demand that they not employ anyone who considers the Bill Of Rights as "loathsome".

If that's true, I apologize. If it really "is old and false," it will be the first time I got a "myth" from the only friend I have who could argue that he is more conservative than me (he wouldn't win the argument, but he might try it ;>). He's a trivia fan, born and raised in Kalifornia, so I'm sure he'll be surprised to learn he was wrong...

I saw it and he did NOT say that about the Second Amendment. What he said was loathsome was the proliferation of guns in this country. He actually said that people have been arguing about gun rights for generations and that he understood that people have a right to keep and bear arms. He also said that the 2nd Amendment should be reserved for American citizens, not people like Cho.
Geraldo’s misunderstanding of where our rights come from is so basic that the rest of his arguments are meaningless, and I was extremely disappointed the BOR didn’t set him straight.
Geraldo said our rights come from the government. That’s wrong.
The Founding Fathers stated very clearly that our rights are descended from God. The Constitution was written to control THE GOVERNMENT, not to grant us our rights.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!
Geraldo was stating his opinion; he’s not a fan of the 2nd Amendment. Are you so fragile and insecure in your own views that you cannot stand to hear opposition?
About two years ago he was talking to O’Reilly and said that he carried.
I call Geraldo loathesome.
