MSNBC has good coverage.
Allright, lets see if they learned anything from VT.
Anyone in close proximity should bumrush him and tackle him down....
Easy to say, as we are not in that situation.
Who knows how one would react?
Gunman Reported In NASA Building
NASA spokesman James Hartsfield said the building was “one of the smaller” office buildings on the JSC campus, where Mission Control is based.
He declined to speculate on how the person got a gun inside NASA security or his motives.
A source inside JSC told CBS Station KHOU that a meeting was under way in a conference room when the gunman walked in and pointed a gun at one person. He ordered everyone else out.
That report has not been confirmed by NASA officials......

There was a conference going on and one man came in with a gun and took one hostage and told everyone else to leave.
Evidently, this was *after* the shots were fired, but they’re not saying.
At least this could get the media the hell out of Blacksburg before I go there tomorrow.
true....
Oh no, that sounds like maybe a hostage situation. And he threatened people with the gun. This just got a whole lot more serious.
Now that’s not good to hear:’(
The split screen on FNC is nice, though, especially w/o Shep.
Yep public building and all that .... but there are probably some Texans that ignore that part of the CCW law.
From what Cavuto & FBI related guest are saying, lonegunman/nasa contractor, has barricaded himself in, by himself, without taking any hostages. If true, as long as there’s no way for him to ..like ignite large tanks of rocket fuel, why not just wait him out?
I hope a stray bullet doesn’t hit the shuttle. If hail can delay the launch three months, just imagine how long a bullet hole will delay it. What a multi-billion dollar joke that thing turned out to be!
Yeah, they said that after you turn onto Saturn Lane, it’s on the left and there are large “radar balls” very visible. I don’t know what those are - but I can see some big spheres.
(Now they’re saying that Jacobs Engineering is hdqred in Pasadena, CA - earlier, they said it was out of TN.)
They immediately locked down all the launch pads at the Johnson Space Center. Standard operating procedure.
They then covered the shuttle orbiters with kevlar to prevent a bullet strike.
Idiot.
Unless this guy is an IT support person with admin access, all he can do to the computers is shoot them.
None that I know ..
