With a list this long and varied, how is that 25 percent still have “no opinion”?

Does that question really tell us anything, though? OK, so 42% of Republicans think that Rudy will win the nomination. That doesn’t mean that 42% of Republicans support him. That just shows that some people think Rudy has an air of “inevitability”...ask Hillary’s supporters about “inevitability” these days and how fleeting it is.

oh boy. i love it. the left leaning post is already attempting to sway the results. they should have polled washington times readers for a truer result.

I think the 25% ‘no opinion’ acknowledges the fact this is still way way too early for serious consideration by the average voter, who doesn’t ‘lock in’ on politics till about six WEEKS before the election, or primary.

I found that interesting too. Perhaps not ready to "think" about it.

That “air of inevitability” is nothing to sneeze at when you’re fundraising.

Eh, true. Self-fulfilling prophecy, I guess. But with almost a year before the primary season starts, anything can (and probably will) happen. I’m sure not handling Giuliani the nomination yet. To use a sports cliche, “that’s why they play the game.”

You're both right, I'm sure, that it's too early to think about it, but my question was stupid: This isn't "who do you want to win" ... it's "who do you think will win."

That explains no opinion, 'cause at this point, honestly, I don't think I've got an opinion.

Interesting. The number of republicans who see Rudy’s victory as inevitable (which was never a majority) is dropping.

The Rudy supporters want us to believe that everybody knows he’s going to win and we should give up. But this poll shows that most republicans do NOT think Rudy will win the nomination.

From their lips to God’s ears.

Who do I think will get the nomination, rather than who I support, depends to a great extent on the less than savory tactics the MSM will use. Even though the MSM is in dire straits, it is still capable of creating a bandwagon or overturning one.
