Many adults in the United States long for the mandate of a previous head of state, according to a poll by Opinion Research Corporation released by CNN. 53 per cent of respondents miss former U.S. president Bill Clinton now that he has left the White House.
In the survey, 96 per cent of African-American respondents say they miss Clinton, while 50 per cent of White Americans say they are glad he has left.
Clintona Democrat and former governor of Arkansaswon the 1992 U.S. presidential election. His campaign was largely based on a condemnation of the economic recession of the early 1990s. In 1996, Clinton became the first Democrat to serve two terms as president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt, winning 49.2 per cent of all cast ballots and 379 electoral votes. Clintons last term in office was tarnished by his admission of an extra-marital affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
During his presidency, Clinton called the racial divide in the U.S. "Americas constant curse." In July 2001, Clinton decided to move into a new office in Harlem, a largely African-American neighbourhood in New York City. The president said on his first day at the office he would make Harlem his home, and explained: "What Im going to do here is to try to help promote economic opportunity in our back yard, in our country and around the world."
In January, former first lady and current New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton officially launched her bid for the Democratic Partys nomination in the 2008 presidential election.

That picture of the young Clintons looks as if Bill is a Ventriloquist and Hillary a puppet.
Oh, the irony!!
I Know. I fear for 2008.
Many Americans are dumber than a box-full of hair.
And I miss Ronald Reagan. So what’s their #$!@$! point?
Contrast that to the instant it looked like Bush would win in 2000. The party was over as far as the media was concerned. Everything was sour, beginning with all the recount junk and how they covered for Gore. Ever since, the media has always put a dark spin on EVERYTHING. The economy is better than Clinton’s, but you would never see anyone suggest that “irrational exuberance” was a concern. Likewise, you never see any good news about Iraq. You never see any stories about heroic actions in Iraq or Afghanistan - never.
No, people do not miss Clinton, they are tired of the sour, wet blanket pall that the MSM continues to cast over the country. They remember that it was always sunny skies under Clinton according to the MSM. That is what they long for.
How can we miss him if he won’t go away?!
Many Americans Miss Bill Clinton
How Can I Miss You (When You Won’t Go Away)
How Can I Miss You (When You Won’t Go Away)
(Dan Hicks)
I’ve talked to your mother and I’ve talked to your dad,
They say they’ve tried but it’s all in vain.
I’ve begged and I’ve pleaded, I even got mad,
Now we must face it, you give me a pain.
cho: How can I miss you when you won’t go away?
I keep telling you day after day,
But you won’t listen, you always stay and stay,
How can I miss you when you won’t go away?
Out of three billion people, why must it be me?
OhOh why, oh why won’t you cut me loose?
Do me a favor and listen to my plea
I’m not the only chicken in the roost.
Your never-ending presence really cramps my style,
I dream that it won’t always be the same.
At first I was attracted, but after a while,
Have you ever heard of a “hard to get” dame?”
“I miss the days when the media wasn’t an attack dog for only one side.”
I’m in my sixties, and I don’t remember those days at all.
is this some sort of play on words?
“Miss Bill Clinton” ....
