Go to http://www.onlynaturalpets.com They sell Nature's Variety Raw Instinct.. no grains food... and Nature's Logic Grain Free food along with a couple of other organic, grain-free foods.

I know not everyone is going to do so, but I do highly recommend homecooking for your pets. (I'm a broken record).

Great advice.

"Every nation in the WTO has to grant MFN to all the others. China joined the WTO in 2001."

Was it not Slick Willy who granted China MFN status well before 2001?

One of his many paybacks for all the illegal campaign $.

Is there a list somewhere of ALL the recalled/poisoned foods?

The FDA is still covering up.

Is there a list somewhere of ALL the recalled/poisoned foods? Is it only Menu or are other companies now involved? I keep seeing these articles, but lately none of them are listing the affected foods.

Oddly, the FDA site sends you to the Menu Foods site, the Menu Foods site sends you back to the FDA site. No one is listing the new foods affected!!!

We need to put together a ping list as this thing does keep growing — I’ve never done a ping list per-see... any suggestions mom?

ALPO VARIETY SNAPS, be careful, my dogs were all vomitting after just eating maybe one treat every few days. It contains Wheat Gluten & has not been recalled!

I tried to report it to Purina, their site has a form to fill out but when you send it you get an error page. I tried to call them today & was on hold so long, I hung up!!

We bake our own, grain-free cookies for our dogs and I buy natural dehydrated ostrich tendons, dehydrated tripe, dehydrated chicken strips, and dehydrated turkey liver and salmon treats from sit-stay or onlynaturalpets. Nothing from the grocery store of pet stores..

Last night they had ostrich tendons and we took them away 1/2 of the way through and put on the kitchen counter... all day they kept standing on tip-toes looking to see if they were still there and after dinner all went in and sat for their tendons. Right now we are eating desert and not one dog is begging, they are too happy with their ostrich tendons.

They way I have made some of the ping lists I’ve done on big topics like this, is to go through the threads and build a word document with the user names that posted. Then I ping everyone on it and ask them if they want to remain on the list. (You could also just keep it updated on your profile page if you want) You just put all the names separated by the ; in the word document or profile page, then you all you have to do is copy and paste it when you need it.

I will help you if you want, but I will need to work on it a little tomorrow and over the weekend if you want my help.

You can post here that you want to start a ping list and people will reply or freepmail you.

Also you can start a brand new thread at a peak time with a tile saying you are creating a pet food recall list.

You can store the list on your profile page for everyone to use or keep it in a private file for yourself to post with..

What else can I cook for my dogs for their main meal? I’ve been boiling chicken, rice & fresh veggies. My dogs love carrots, cabbage, apple etc. Thanks.

I like the profile page idea.. probably better to start it with the next article, I’m certain there will be one -— unfortunately...

Part of the day tomorrow and over the weekend I will start harvesting names that seem to need the info and are following the topic. We will ping them and let them know they are on a ping list and if they want removed. We can keep the master on your profile page. That way if there is breaking news, someone can grab it and post.

They need some organ meats - like liver, kidneys, stuff like that -- about 10% of their diet... don't really need the rice since they don't have the enzyme on their tongues we have to digest starch, so starch turns to sugar in their systems and that is what is causing so much canine obesity.. You can puree in your food processor: Romaine, Kale, Celery, Squash, carrots, red cabbage, beet greens, just about anything in season. Go easy on spinich and broccoli because they can be adverse (in quantity) to the thyroid. Since you are not giving raw bones in their diet give them some bonemeal powder (get organic bone meal) and something like "Dinovite" sprinkled on their food for vitamins and minerals... they can have eggs....

Eggs are a perfect protein... the protein all other proteins are measured against.... put an egg in boiling water and barely cook the white and then give it to them with the yolk still in a soft stage. Crush the shells and give them the shell, too for a perfect balance in their diet.. I get free range eggs from hare-today when I order their food, with the shell crushed in.... yogurt, cottage cheese, even buttermilk mixed into their food...

canned solid pack pumpkin -- is good for constipation as well as diarrhea... pumpkin is one of the few foods that cleans toxins out of the upper intestines.... and is great fiber.. I give my dogs a tablesoon or two of pumpkin in their food periodically just for an intestinal cleanse.. you can mix raw (or lightly steamed) liver (organs) with your vegies and the balance being the meat, cottage cheese, etc... just remember they are little wolves and want to eat accordingly.

oh... I almost forgot — yes some apple is good, so is blueberries.... just no grapes.... if your dogs tolerate the avocado fruit, it’s a good fat for their skin in small amounts.. too much may be too rich for some dogs...
