If you’ve ever watched the impact tests with dummies - at 35 MPH it’s amazing how the bodies fly around a vehicle.. and something as simple as a pencil becomes a deadly projectile.

Thanks for the info. I didn’t know that. . . never owned one and never even ridden in one. We’re a Ford family, except for the little Volvo wagon that belongs to my college student daughter.

Oh yeah, I’ve seen the crash test films. Used to do accident investigation. It’s amazing, isn’t it?

A Suburban at 90+ mph? Gas mileage: 2 gallons per mile...

Initial spin turned out to be quite unfair to the driver of the red pickup truck, who was just trying to make a split second decision about what to do as emergency lights appeared at 90+ mph in his rear view mirror.

Looks-like-we-were-right ping. :-)

It was a Tahoe. NY had Suburban listed, but Philly news got it right.

They found him in the back seat with legs hanging out a window. They say he “Flew’ from front seat to back seat where his young female aid was riding.

They also said Big Foot was sighted in Trenton.

The pictures are a Suburban. You can tell by the length of the cargo compartment and the shape of the back doors.

Yes. The Suburban is noticeably longer.

Don't exaggerate. It's at least 6 mpg. Sometimes even 8 mpg.

Meathead even sent an APB to find the Red Pickup. Talk about a frame job.

I also wondered about the eastern use of the work “parkway”. What does it have to do with a park? How could it be less like a park? Parking lot at commute times, maybe? At least in the west, most of our highways are still freeways, and in fact, have no toll. Oh, on the topic of the thread, I think the State Patrol drivers should have a license suspension for at least a year.

I've been a paramedic for quite a while. The deadliest unsecured projectile I've ever seen cause injuries in a motor vehicle collision was a 120-pound rottweiler sitting in the passenger seat when the Explorer was hit on the passenger side and rotated onto the driver's side. Not only did the rottie break some of its own bones, it broke the driver's upper arm and a few ribs. Plus, he was just a little bit displeased when we showed up.

But the pickup's right wheels went onto the grassy highway shoulder, and the driver overcorrected, swerving back on the road. That set off a chain reaction: A white pickup truck swerved to avoid the red truck, struck Corzine's sport utility vehicle and sent it careening into a guard rail.

Well, the press is FINALLY starting to ask questions. Hooray. I imagine someday they may even ask the question I have asked since Day One: How on earth did the WHITE pickup truck (you know - - the one that actually crashed into Corzine) end up BETWEEN the 91mph SUV in the left lane and the swerving red pickup truck on the right?

At this point, I am not holding my breath that that question will ever be asked by the press.

The kid in the red truck is lucky they didn’t shoot him.
Running a king and off the road is a serious traffic offense. Death penalty could apply.

A guy I grew up with killed a passenger while recklessly driving. One year in the county jail. He was Democrat too, but not royalty.

At warp speed a vehicle can and will change shape, according to Einstein. That may explain the confusion identifying the vehicle, before and after the accident.

I will admit to be very quick sometimes placing blame on illegal aliens. But you will not find my name on any of these threads. I usually find the numerous and REAL VICTIMS of illegal alien crime are innocent and anonymous people. When I initially read accounts, it did not add up to me and I did not comment. But I do know in anything which involves politicians, the politicians are usually anything but innocent victims. In this case since Corzine was in no condition to lie for himself, we see that his minions recognized what he would have wanted done, and lied for him. It is sad and I wish him no harm and pray he recovers, but unlike the stories involving illegal alien crime the victim here is neither anonymous nor innocent, because the accounts of the accident lead us to believe had he obeyed his own state’s seatbelt law, his injuries would not have placed his life in the danger it is now in.
