email from Planned Parenthood on SC case, a "dark day for women's health..."

Posted on 04/18/2007 9:52:16 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

Your immediate help is essential as Planned Parenthood responds to the disastrous U.S. Supreme Court decision issued just hours ago. It's a dark day for women's health and safety.

With Bush appointees John Roberts and Samuel Alito leading the way, a 5-4 majority turned its back on more than 30 years of Supreme Court decisions that protected women's health from dangerous laws that restrict abortion.

In the cases of Gonzales v. Planned Parenthood and Gonzales v. Carhart, the court has now made the Bush abortion ban the law of the land. There is no way we will let this stand. Not when it's an issue so central to women's lives and so crucial to the health care services that Planned Parenthood provides to women every day.

DONATE NOW TO HELP PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEFEND WOMEN'S HEALTH AND SAFETY

As you read this, Planned Parenthood lawyers and medical experts are carefully studying the justices' opinions, searching out ways to ensure that our patients are provided with the best and safest possible care under this reckless ruling.

Meanwhile teams of organizers and advocates are being dispatched to key states to directly confront anti-choice legislators who are tripping over themselves to make sure that women in their states will be the first to suffer the impact of this dogmatic Supreme Court decision.

We need your immediate financial support to sustain our legal, organizing, and media efforts. With you by our side, Planned Parenthood will lead a massive public expression of outrage over this decision in the days ahead. Please rush an emergency donation in as generous an amount as you can possibly afford. In the aftermath of this decision, every moment counts.

DONATE NOW TO HELP PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEFEND WOMEN'S HEALTH AND SAFETY

This ruling takes away an important option for doctors who seek the best and safest care for their patients. And it sets a precedent that politicians should make intensely private health care decisions for women and families, when in fact these decisions should be made by a woman in consultation with her doctor.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Nurses Association, and many other medical groups oppose the federal ban. And, until now, every single court that examined the ban struck it down because, among other things, it fails to protect women's health.

Acting quickly and decisively, we have to do what the Supreme Court refused to do. We have to stop politicians from interfering with women's personal medical decisions.

DONATE NOW TO HELP PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEFEND WOMEN'S HEALTH AND SAFETY

Our opponents are already mobilizing to use this decision as the foundation for a brutal, far-reaching assault on reproductive freedom that would have devastating consequences for women all across America. We must never let them succeed.

Let's get to work.

Far more than half the aborted children are women, worldwide. In backward, feudalistic, clannish Asian lands, the vast majority of abortions are little more than the convenient, discrete slaughter and disposal of an unwanted daughter.

My husband’s first wife, now deceased, was on PP’s mailing list. I’ve told hubby that I was going to call and say that the *** home is now under new management, but decided not to. Even if it is just a little bit of postage every once in a while, I want to help use up their resources.

“Not when it’s an issue so central to women’s lives and so crucial to the health care services that Planned Parenthood provides to women every day.”

It should read: Not when the murdering of infants industry and selling their body parts is so essential to the world economy.

The thing is there are a number of other procedures that will suffice for this type of situation. The SCOTUS just outlawed a brutal practice. Planned Parenthood could give a damn about a woman’s right or health - look at their bottom line. They’re in it for the money. They are part of a multi-billion dollar industry of death. They don’t fool me.

At the stage where a parial birth would be done, if the mothers life was in dire need to seperate from her child, an emergency cesarian section would be medically indicated. Not a full and complete breach birth... the trama and stress this puts on a woman is far more dangerous than an emergency cesarian.

PP are lying trolls. They are not interested in womens health, just in keeping the dollars rolling in. They are dispicable beasts, who prey on the scared and the helpless. They are the medical equivalent of pedophiles.

I’m sorry, but at this point they have lost any and all credibility as a being a “medical provider”.

>>>I just called the local Planned Parent office and remarked that the Supreme Court decision was going to save many lives and the nastiest women I have ever heard hung up on me.<<<

Now there’s the spirit of the Olde West live and kickin’ right here. ;)

That had to have felt good!

So it’s a “dark day” when they can’t suck the brains out of a living human being?

Tertullian, Apology 9, 197 A.D.
“...murder being once for all forbidden, we may not destroy even the foetus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from other parts of the body for its sustenance. To hinder a birth is merely a speedier man- killing; nor does it matter whether you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to the birth. That is a man which is going to be one; you have the fruit already in its seed.”

Absolutely. “Partial Birth Abortion” is nothing less than bloody murder. It is a crime against humanity, not a lifesaving procedure in ANY way.

I get their letters too. The return postage for "donations" is paid by PP so I stuff it as full as I can with pictures of babies and send it back on their bill.

Ummm ... if the supreme court has decided it’s the law of the land, then what can additional money possibly do to reverse it?

I suppose they could wait for a Hillary presidency and then hire a hit man, with the money, to take out Clarence Thomas and Roberts. [/sarcasm — please moderator, that was in jest.]

In the end, this is mostly about money and political power, and not about babies. Because you know durned well that if the decision had been 5-4 overturning the legislation, Planned Parenthood would have put out the opposite press release, praising the decision and using the “good” news as a pretext for raising more money to keep up the fight.

Of course they will, with various liberal feminazi "celebrities" (who have little if anything to celebrate in their lives) packing their hag-bags as we type and the drive-by media ordering up cases of film and developing headlines.

Why with their “medical experts” of course. Everyone knows that a “medical expert” can overturn a SCOTUS decision.

Nope. The first time I got a letter from them I wrote back in no uncertain terms that I would never support them in any way and they should stop sending their bile to my house. They kept sending me stuff so I figured I'd return the favor.

I used to add a lot of yellow pages or other scrap paper to their “Postage Paid” envelopes. Or, in the case of the Clinton Defense Fund, send in a penny and request a receipt.
