If you haven’t seen the Remembrance Ceremony, you can view it at www.Cspan.org. Click on “Remembrance Ceremony.” In addition to the President’s comments highlights are the Governor’s comments (panned by many here on FR, but very appropriate and appreciative of President Bush’s help). The apparently spontaneous recitation of the “Lord’s Prayer” is a highlight, also. And the remarks and cheerleading by the school's poet laureate were certainly different. Finally, at the end of the ceremony (but not seen on the C-span tape), the students were asked to remain seated while the president, guests, families and podium speakers left. The camera pans over the student body - quiet, reflective, no talking or discussion, some hand-holding, motionless, silence...
