He may have legally purchased it, but to me it seems wrong. 100% NRA Life member here too.

Are you saying it should be stricter? 90 days? 120 days? Once a year? I am not disagreeing with you if that is the case.

I think it is more likely that you are being sarcastic and saying since it didn’t work here there should be no restrictions whatsoever. Why is it that it is always all or nothing for some conservatives. Everything is not black or white.

global warming... is it not possible/likely humans have some impact (even minimal) so it may be a good idea to control it before it gets out of control?

smoking... just because that one person you know smoked 3 packs a day lived to be 95 does not mean that smoking is not bad for you.

seat belts... even though there may have been one person in a million that was killed because they wore a seatbelt does not make it wise to never wear one.

How about making steps in the right direction. Improve your odds a little bit.

I see the "one gun a month" approach slowed him down a little. He had to wait 30 days after buying the Glock 17 to be permitted to buy the Walther P22. The guy obviously had his eye on the calendar to pick up the next one as soon as the law allowed. A good 35+ days to carefully plan the operation, purchase ammo, magazines, chain and locks. Not a spur of the moment action. Cold, calculated, well planned.

Willi,

Are you on the correct forum?

Just asking.

To answer just a few things here, when you permit the government to dole out the articles that are your RIGHT to own, are you not giving up that right?

Global warming is an insidious attempt to slam the average guy with a global tax.

The one worlders are messing their pants trying to get that one.

Your post shows the same “logic” exhibited by most nanny state “Liberals” -

no cost benefit analysis.

If this “logic” were applied to other things, no one would be allowed to own an automobile or a swimming pool.

The perp bought the 2 guns this year, been here in the US since he was 12 yr. old, no info on his weapons training at this time, and roughly has a 69% kill ratio to the total number of victims with both a Glock and Walther P-22 bought within the last 2 months.

This kid was darn good instantly or all his deceased victims were within 10 ft. of the barrels. Something still doesn't smell right about this horrendous tragedy. Even good shooting takes a good bit of practice and from the cell phone recording....the shots were coming quick. Record of only one box of fifty 9's being bought?

"kid was a pretty darn good shot. "

No. It takes no skill whatsoever to walk around shooting people laying on the floor, standing on the otherside of a door, and otherwise standing in line as ordered from a distance of about 3ft.

This is what amazes me. How does one person shoot 50 people, even if they are all in a contained area.

In a West Point class room Cho would have never stood a chance. Today every 18 year old need some type of military training because you never know when the next SicChoPunk could pop up again.

See #69. The distance was ~3ft and no one challenged the perp.

Absolutely right. There is a difference in shooting and killing. This guy either practiced ALOT, or had some sort of formal training (and Im not talking video games).

Where in NH is that?

I live in Southern NH. I think it may be time for some pre-next-ban purchases...

John Markell, the owner of Roanoke Firearms, said today that he had been interviewed by three agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms about Cho's purchase of a Glock 9 mm handgun.

"I feel terrible about this," Markell told ABC News at his store today, which is part gun shop, part pawn shop on the outskirts of Roanoke.

Poor guy. He's got nothing to feel guilty about, but I'm sure it'll always be on his mind.

You’d think the ‘chaining of doors from the inside’ would tip them off that it was premeditated, but the msm is all about the guns.

Here you go:

http://www.nhskip.com/

I’ve purchased two hand guns at Skips. A Ruger .45 and a S&W .40, both with a free box of ammo.

Come on up.

And the delay in official identification suggests something too about the MSM and the officials in charge.

It suggests to me that VT is trying to figure out how they're going to manage all the bad PR and lawsuits when the public discovers that the university knew that Cho was a known problem and they did nothing about it. For starters, I read that Cho had set fire to his dorm room twice.
