I'm with you.
Self serving, politically correct clap trap.
Will there ever be another shooting that does not come with the prerequisite candlelight vigil? WTF?
I cannot see what good comes of these things. Grief cannot be scripted into a bunch of canned responses and platitutes. Individuals cannot be herded into see a bunch of shrinks to be educated on how they are supposed to feel.
I am offended by this sort of thing, and if that makes me jaded, then jaded I will be.

“I interpret this that they wanted him to know that they did not blame him for his actions.”
Yes, I definitely interpreted the prolonged ovation as a show of support.

Islam has to be mentioned now at every event that involves the presence of government don’t you know. Memorial services, funerals, imams popping up here and there at sporting events - they have to work it in somehow.

Sounding like a funerally!

The first 5 books in The Bible, The Koran, and Talmud are near perfectly identical from what I’ve been told by a PHD in theology. It’s just all that other doctrine that gets in the way.

The President got almost twice as much applause as the Governor.

I join you in your offense.
There is not a script that must be followed for all such events, just as there is an MSM template for addressing everything, by and large from their political perspective.
