“Chos identitiy has been confirmed with a positive fingerprint match on the guns used in the rampage and with immigration materials. It is believed that he was the shooter in both incidents yesterday. Sources say Cho was carrying a backpack that contained receipts for a March purchase of a Glock 9 mm pistol, sources said. Witnesses had also told authorities that the shooter was carrying a backpack.”
Where did he learn to shoot this well? Handgunning isn’t a ‘natural act’ and its pretty clear he was a good shot. I doubt he acquired this level of skill in a couple of weeks.
Obviously pure speculation on my part, but Centreville has a big problem with gangs, including Asian gangs.
Article further stated he was from Centreville. There are a number of shooting ranges within the Centreville area, notably the NRA facility and Blue Ridge Arsenal. Wouldn’t be surprised if he shot at one or both of them. Not to mention the Blacksburg area.....
“Where did he learn to shoot this well?”
Video games....
Up close you don’t need to be a skilled marksman.
Just about everyone shot at close range, other than those who were murdered thru the door of their classroom.
Speculation - most South Korean males must undergo military training due to the ongoing situation with North Korea... could be Cho was X - South Korean military?
South Korea has compulsory military service. By that age, he will have served in the South Korean military for a year or two.
And where and when did he learn to shoot so accurately in the month since he bought the gun?
I just got to work and caught a glimpse of the news in the cafeteria. Some kid talking about how Shooter just walked up to his victims and shot them point blank in the head, one by one. Not much skill required to do that, just a very compliant herd.
A few hundred rounds of practice and you could get amazing deadly against unarmed opponents.
Didn’t he and the girlfriend break up just two weeks ago, iirc? March is over two weeks. Did he purchase the firearm before the split?
